I'm pumped on almost anything Bioware makes, but I'm tired of these "competition" games. All of these supposed "Halo killers", "GTA killers", "COD killers", and "Destiny killers". (Anyone still play The Division? :lol ) Just come up with a new idea and create the new hotness.

But that's where the money is. Destiny and the Division made bank. Borderlands 3 probably will adopt a more social aspect as well. EA doesn't have something in that genre at this point.

And while the player base for the Divisin has dropped off( that's more of a Ubisoft thing. Most of their games drop off). But it still probably sold 10+ million copies and a bunch of DLC

I played it for 50 hours, "beat it" and sold it to gamestop. So I can't really complain. It was ok. Didn't hate it or love it.
 
I feel like it should be illegal to announce a game more than 8 months before release

And I am so tired of video game trailers that are 100% cutscene. How the **** are you supposed to make me excited for a GAME if you didn't show any GAMEPLAY in your trailer?

I don't mind cinematic trailers if they're in-engine/real-time. Pure CG though? :{

Although I'm a sucker for those beautiful Square Enix CG trailers. Because you know the next year in 15 years when the game drops, it's going to be could of been insane. :eek

SE has: FF 12 Remaster, Dissidia, FF XIV: Stormblood, Moto GP, Life is Strange 2 (behind closed doors), Saints Row Agents of Mayhem, FF XV Prompto DLC, FFXV VR experience. KH3/FF7 are not there. Last I heard the next trailer for both will be at TGS.

FF XVI is being worked on but they'd be stupid to show off a trailer. There's already enough that people are waiting the next 3 years for. No need to bury yourself with even more hate for a game that's 4 years away.

There's also a FF online SHOOTER in development. However, it has no presence at E3.

I've got no news about Red Dead 2 because they scrapped the build I played a few months ago. I've also got no news about whatever From Software is showing off. I've heard conflicting reports from people I know at Sony. One saying it's Bloodborne related, and some saying it's a totally new IP using an updated DS3 engine.

On the M$ front... there was an idea floating around a long time ago that Project Scorpio was going to be able to play anything from the xbox backlog with your XBL subscription. Whether this was going to be an upgrade tier of XBL was up for discussion but basically you were going to be able to DL/Stream any XB or XB360 game on demand with the service.

However, with this data coming out:

It's probably getting scrapped. Which is unfortunate because I thought it was a good way for publishers and studios to generate some residual income and a easy way for newer/younger gamers to get introduced to classic games/series.

The Scorpio dev kit is the best console dev kit I've ever worked with so I'm very interested to see what the retail model is going to have in terms of features.

So I purchased the switch and it's my first Nintendo in 20 years. What I want to know is are we getting virtual console announcement during e3.
 
No Death Stranding drastically reduces my E3 hype.


Why? We know that game isn't coming out anytime soon. I feel like the less we see, the better. I feel the same way about TLOU 2.

Because Kojima has made some of my favorite games and I get hyped for his trailers. A kojima trailer is an event in its own right. I love discussions that come along with them.

This being his first Post-MGS release, I'm looking for any bit of footage. Wasn't expecting gameplay either, I just want another look at his new project.

And Mads Mikkelsen as the villain (?)= major hype. Mads rules.

Well I mean Gamespass did launch and contains mostly 360 games. But it's not included in the overall gold sub. Also Phil addressed those charts

Also I'm guessing the FF shooter is what the People can Fly partnership was about

I'd heard the service was going to be something special for Scorpio, it could be what turned into gamepass but I was always under the impression it was a cherry on top for Scorpio.

IDK where Phil addressed the chart(s). I'd like to hear his take. He did retweet a statement from Mike Nichols saying roughly 50% tried BC. But trying it vs. actively using it, or cumulative play time are completely different stats. Those numbers should actually go up with Gamepass having a free trial and all. So expect the spin to be heavy next year.

Either way I hope BC still continues to be a thing on all platforms for game preservation as well as residuals for developers and publishers.
