I've thrown in some advice coming from someone who has been through a lot of hurricanes in my day... if there's any questions during or after it passes I, along with others who have had experiences, will answer as best we can to help out.

Wow it got real quiet for about 10mins and the rain an wind just went crazy here by my house....I'm right near Long Island looks like we're about to get the stronger part of the storm in a little bit

This storm really makes things stressful.....atleast it looks like we have a week of nice weather in the tri-state area after the storm passes...that is if no long loss of power...and other damages.

Staying at the mothers home a few blocks from my apt, brothers ceiling is already starting to leak as is my younger brothers.
Rain and wind is picking up, I have my flashlights ready in case the power goes out. Time for bed, staying in the basement.

Stay safe guys. Luckily it didn't reach me when it hit in NC today. We just got winds while the outter bands stopped proably 30 mins from where I live. Hurricanes are definitely no joke. Esp the tornadoes that can spawn up because of them

Wind just picked up a lot n is more steady. Earlier there were sudden gusts that lasted 2-3 seconds, but now the gusts are more frequent, they're stronger, and last longer. Wind on Viagra
