Lebron the closer finishing off the celtics tonight
This series will be close. Pierce isn't going to go 5-17 FG again, and the Celtics couldve won this one. If Lebron's elbow acts up in game 2, the Cavs need to be ready to score because Lebron is a willing passer especially if he knows his shooting will be limited. They fell behind in the first half when Lebron was playing passive because no one else stepped up.

It's a bit weird that this series has started but the first round isn't finished - the winner could have a huge layoff before the conference finals. Could be at 8 or 9 days which is almost too much.

i know. nba needs to award teams like cavs and celtics...teams that advanced to 2nd round only in 5 games so they can rest to get advantages over teams like hawks and bucks...
what's the point of beating teams in 4-5 games when you know you're gonna play another round 1 day after?
tv rating is important but let old celtics trio and lebron rest a bit, which could bring a better series.

It's getting to the point in the NBA where I'm considering not even getting emotionally involved, because the tv ratings and financial background determining game results just bothers me as a fan.Originally Posted by Banks2Pierce

It's not just LeBron and the Cavs, it's not just Kobe and the Lakers, or Dwight in the Magic... it's all the time.
But last night was perfect example.
Not going to go into some long rant, I didn't DVR the game, otherwise I'd have every single IMPORTANT questionable call that got miss jotted down, but off the top of my head...
1. Mo Williams drawing the "charge" on Rondo when the Celtics were building their lead.
2. Shaq's "tip-in" late in the game putting the Cavs up by 5, considering it was still TOUCHING the rim.
3. J.J. Hickson's lay-up late, when he was out of bounds and caught the ball.
4. The Celtics getting NO fouls late, basically.
Sure, they let Mo Williams go on a run, and that has a ton to do with it. But late in the game, nothing pisses me off more than when the referees swallow the whistles. Consistency is all I ask for.
