So I just heard what barkley said last week on the radio and it was more hating on Steph. He said it's no hate but it was hate. Said lebald and Kawhai were the 2 best players in the League. Kawhai usually guards the other team's best player unlike Steph. Since when did that fool value defense like that? Plus lebald is out there doing matador defense not even trying to guard his guy sometimes.

There's still this very stupid uninformed narrative that Steph doesn't play defense. Dude actually turned himself into a above average to good defender. He doesn't LOOK like a good defender....so they can't fathom in their heads that dude can play D. How many guards can average 30/7/5 & 2spg in 34mpg and not be considered "complete" :lol:
 
How can ppl think youre a good defender when Klay guards the best perimeter player, Dray picks up the best front court player & hes left with guarding the worst offensive player.

Hes either never gon never play 1 on 1 D against them or hes gon get a stop cause they suck more so than hes a good defender

Westbrook & him are the best rebounding guards in basketball tho. Ill give him that

Klay doesn't always pick up the best perimeter player. They sometimes matchup straight up. Especially when they play against teams with 2 good perimeter players. Steph spent a good amount of time on Russ this year. And he also guarded cp3 really well.

Good defense also isn't soley about 1 on 1 defense. Steph is also a good team defender...and rotations are usually on point. If you got a minute, watch this video. It does a good job at illustrating why Steph is actually a good defender.

Steph Curry has a 97.1 defensive rating which puts him in the top 25 percentile of the leage, lebron has a 102.8 rating which puts him in last 50th percentile in the league.   This idea that Lebron is this all world defender has been a myth for a long time.

If you're team has 2 great defenders and a lot of other really good ones then why would you put Steph on the best player if you don't have to? Keep him fresh for offense and also out of foul trouble. Did Jordan always guard the best perimeter player? He had a defensive beast like Pippen and a tall guard like Ron Harper to help out.

Bron coasted on D this whole season. Don't know if it's him just getting old/saving energy for offense a la Kobe but he looked lazy on that end on a lot of possessions I saw. Don't think Bron has been a top level defender since Miami.
 
Toronto doesn't have heart. They won't win. Drake low key rooting for Bron and Tristan.

Cleveland isn't beating OKC or GSW. Love and Bron will fold. Kyrie gonna have to lead them.
