I just don't understand why people just don't buy nicely optioned regular mid-sized sedans and coupes.

Like I gotta co-worker that just bought a new Accord couple V6. That car is nice as hell and fast, like what are you really getting in a g35 coupe over that.

this thread has clearly hurt many feelings

You pit broads in cabs? So you pop in your full sized bed with momma in the room next to you then hail a Ford Escape taxi down for shorty? You a g.

Don't like entry level luxury cars because you can get comparable quality in a fully loaded non luxury car like an Accord or Maxima.

Don't like used German cars because they are junk after 3 yrs/36K.

From now on, I would only lease a German car and would never buy another.

Da Hemi Challenger is one of the least depreciating cars in America.

I've made 5 payments put no money down and my car is worth more than what I owe. :smokin

lol your seriously going to act like the challenger will not end up with the same legacy as the 90s camaros/trans am firebirds ? boy stop.

4th gens LT1 and LS1 cars are some of the best performance you an get for the dollar.

Only reason they're so cheap is because we live in the land of plenty and they were manufactured here.... Rock one in Europe and youll get the same kind of attention you would in an Exotic here in the states. Rock one in Japan and youll get the same reactions as a r34 Skyline stateside. I swear people have no perspective outside their spoiled American lives and dont realize how good we have it in terms of vehicles.

Those aren't cheap though. IMO better to stack chips than spend extra on a fully loaded mid size.

Both fully loaded mid size and entry level luxury seem like wastes of money. Neither is worth the cost.

I have no shame in pushing my stock 4 cylinder Altima coupe with no leather. I'll wait till I can afford something like the A5 before I get an A3/328/c250

Exactly...

One of da best reasons to go american muscle is da

Fact that we're swimming in aftermarket companies

In da states that supports these cars CHEAP.

Yeah its cool when your young.

But than again you got older people pushing Accords, Altimas, Camrys, etc.  When IS, 3, A4/A5, C are better cars. Its all what you want to get.

I never knock someone for what car they have. Its what they want and can afford. Enjoy your car.

Depends on how long your regular commute is. I drive well over an hour each way to work, I want a comfortable ride, you may not need to be comfortable. Entry level luxury isn't "worth" the cost because part of what you are paying for is the badge.

I sit in LA traffic every work day. My car is plenty comfortable without leather.

Was just having this conversation with my cousin about this o.p. Told him I'm going to cop the 2014 turbo S when it drops this winter but I'm having a hard time deciding whether or not the additional 40k is worth the 40 horses and ceramic brakes and a S behind turbo. Would do a chip and straight pipes anyway and end up beyond 540 bhp but I've wanted a turbo my whole life and I wanna go all out.

After reading through the thread I realize I read the title wrong and you guys are talking about entry level cars. My bad.

Cool, like I always say on these topics, you do you and I'm a do me. Your car may be comfortable and have good cloth seats but a lot of cheap cloth seats are uncomfortable to me.

Nah, we talking about like a Porsche Boxster, not a Turbo, . I remember like 2 years back I was walking to my car and some girls were walking by a guy with a used boxster and were all like "wow, he's got a Porsche". I almost wanted to blurt out, "yea, a $40K Porsche" but that'd be just hating, let that man cook.

This also reminds me of this guy that used to post up outside the clubs with a vette with lambo doors raised up when they did the last model update. I remember my friend was like, "this dude got a lambo"? I was like man, this dude got a corvette with lambo doors on it.

So much truth in this post.  Absolutely agree, I think most of you guys need to travel outside of the USA to gain this perspective.  This is truly a first world problem discussing entry luxury vehicles.  Travel to Southeast Asia or Central/ South America and when you return an argument like this sounds so trivial and utterly ridiculous.  Everybody has their own tastes and financial limitations based on the stage at which they are in their lives.  I started in high school with a yellow 1979 Oldsmobile Delta 88, upgraded to a Pontiac Grand Prix that I drove into the ground through college and medical school, then was ecstatic to upgrade to a g35 coupe in residency.  Now out of residency I can finally afford some fun and cool cars and love my NSX and Cayman R!  We are so lucky to have the opportunity in this country to advance our financial stage through hard work and determination in a free society, why hate on somebody for their stage in life or current financial predicament?  Come on guys we are better than this thread, keep it positive!
