There is a value in leather, wood and navigation. My thing is you can get that same stuff in a car that is built on the same platform and spend 15k less. Two years later the luxury car is worth only 4 K more

You guys are too busy worried about what the next man is driving. Putting age restrictions on entry level luxury cars, turning your noses up at 3 series and c250's, v6 camaro's etc. Too busy counting other people's money. Not everybody is going to be driving around in an m3 or AMG

Theyre mass produced and every car is nearly the same...
New cars in general dont hold vaule for **** anymore because very few cars are built to order and options cant be mixed and matched individually.... they come available with "option packs" with a bunch of options pre-bundled together.
Hard to maintain value when your car is exactly like 30,000 other cars on the market. Thats why if you go new its best to get the top of the line model and have it custom ordered even if it costs more... Depreciation is still huge but at the end of the day itll always be worth more.

Never understood why people care about "value" of a car. Unless youre going in purchasing something with the mindset of "im selling this in X amount of time" why do u care how much youll get for it? If im flat out buying a car, im not thinking "cant wait to sell this is 2027 for $8000" why is value down the line important to you? Even when i was a car salesman I couldn't understand it. It seems to me youre buying something you can't quite afford yet if half the reason you're buying it is you can sell it for x amount when ur short on cash or whatever. This applies to those who claim to have money like that though.
