SL65 BS is a useless car. Rather get a SL65, and NOT pay an extra 145k for a body kit. SLR>SL65 BS
BTW, I would hope that a 350K car would be better than a 130k car.....
And can everyone please focus on this thread, let's not turn this into a BMW v. Mercedes thread.

Useless? You're paying money for the styling.
Is the Lamborghini Reventon useless? It's just a Lamborghini LP640 with a body kit. Or the Lamborghini Gallardo? It's a restyled Audi R8.
These aren't Civics with fiberglass body kits, people buy these supercars for their design. To some, the 350k BS is better than the 130k stock, in it's design.
Personally, I agree with you. I would never drop that kind of money on a SL65, that's Lamborghini money. And yeah none of that BMW/Mercedes arguing... I just had to set the record straight

Treating me well so far. Perfect first car for myself. After doing Euro Delivery, I don't know if I can buy my next car without that experience, whether a BMW or something else. Going to a local dealer just sounds so bland now.Originally Posted by bruza

I'm not going to start a debate, but I disagree with your examples. There is other reasons besides styling that create the price difference between those cars, unlike the Sl65 & Sl65 BS. BTW, stock Sl65 is >200k. The 130k was in reference to BMW's highest priced car(although I believe the 760Li is like 140)....Originally Posted by scshift

SL65 AMG is OD.
SL65 AMG would be my last choice if I had the budget for one.
With that said, SL dumps on the 6 Series. BMW needs to step it up.

Unless you were talking about the Le Mans R8, but I doubt you were referencing that one since thats a whole different talk of cars.

Btw what ship is yours on and the planned delivery date? Mine is on glorious leader and will be dropped off in GA on 12/5. The customs wait and VPC will be the longest wait of my life.

Congrats on your new M also sir. I considered AW/ FR also. Very nice combo there. Which options did you go with?
I just dropped mine off at Loginout in Munich on Friday so I doubt it's even on a ship yet. They told me email to them for tracking info in a week. You're in better shape than me though man. You should have yours by Christmas. I've heard some cars go though customs in a few days, others take up to two weeks.
Mine should be here by mid to late January. I'm a take my time driving from CA to WA up the PCH (and hit as many NBA Games as possible).
