When I woke up this morning I had it on ESPN and they briefly updated what happened last night then talked to LeBron James asking him about what his thoughts were on the situation. This was the first thing that popped in my head was this.

For this specific instance? You can just refresh the first post/topic. Where all the time updates are.

I don't believe it to be possible if given that he was in the area. One thing it would depend on would be time of city lockdown. From there if he was able to get out of the area, I'm sure the intelligence agencies attempted to triangulate using various methods.

If he escaped by road, few cars are on the road anyway, so traffic cameras would be of use. --> Of course, satellite imaging comes into play there.
They mentioned possible escape through waterway, you'd think that those would be patrolled too. Maybe through rural areas? Would prove too slow to get away with that amount of people tailing you.

When they supposedly had him cornered in the house, the military/FBI/Boston PD, apparently did not use thermal imaging to find heat sources if indeed he did have someone hostage. All this is happening while a helicopter is in the air and massive amounts of boots on the ground looking for him. Add on the fact that the kid is supposedly using social media in some form or fashion, whether he's using wifi or connecting through cellular SP I have no clue. Either one of those signals can of course lead you on an even bigger wild goose chase. I don't think he's in that immediate area or remotely close, but how he managed to get away so quickly, no idea and doubt it would be released either.

From a tactical standpoint, I am finding it VERY hard to believe that they have no whereabouts of this guy and he has been available to avoid intelligence agencies with ease, AFTER being seen on camera in 7/11
