EXPLOSION @ Boston Marathon

why would they throw a flashbang inside a small boat?

smoke bomb would make more sense
Paralyze his movements for a brief moment is why you throw a flashbang. Funny thing is that it COULD potentially kill at close range.

Um...

Flash bang: He can't see or hear. Essentially he can't really do anything

Smoke: He can't see, and we can't see exactly where he is or what he's doing

Some of you need to realize real life isn't a video game.

Can't just shoot up the enemy and go charging in there and if things go bad you just respawn.

People expecting things to happen like a movie and fit into a neat 90 minutes. Sometimes things take alot of time.

With the chance of gas and a bomb this could go on for a while.

We have no idea whats going on right now. Police aren't saying anything important now.

They have to be recovering the body, searching, dismantling a bomb or trying to keep him alive.

I believe flashbangs were used to see if he was actually moving. Not 100% sure though

Ummm

Flashbangs are known to kill and close range

Exactly. I don't think the first objective is to kill the guy, or at least it shouldn't be.

It doesn't sound like they've moved in on him yet. Thrown a flashbang, then wait around? That's not how you use flashbangs.

good night.
