F1 Official Thread - Grand Prix of Britain

This is Carmen Jorda... she is Lotus' newest "development driver"...

From what I've read... she's not very fast.

I'll just leave it at that.

^WOOD NOT PULL OUT

Anyways Formula E is gonna have a race here in the streets of downtown. It's like 2 weeks away and I'm thinking of going.

It is... I can see it from both sides.  If any racing driver got the opportunity that she's been given, all of them would take it in a heartbeat, no doubt.  At the same time, none of her results have shown that she got this role based on merit, which, understandably, is upsetting a lot of fans and drivers.  I don't think anyone blames her, specifically.  It's just a $$$ move by Lotus, which makes the sport a joke.  The criticism is tough on her, but she has to take this opportunity and make the most of it.

Alonso's crash was really weird.

I hate the lack of info we got .

A real shame for him to miss the start of the season.

Don't keep up with F1 much but came across this recently. The sounds this thing produces :wow:

The McLaren definitely does have a different engine note... raspier, deeper... they're not a full-power too, so it may sound different at Melbourne.

To be expected, really, if you've been following testing.  They didn't get the mileage and had too many issues.  Couldn't even do proper aero setups.

Honda added that (with only 4 engines this year), they opted to turn the power way down to improve reliability.

Just gotta fight through these tough times.

Merc are so far ahead, it's ridiculous.  Fight for 3rd looks like it'll be between Ferrari and Williams.  RBR if they can get their engines in order, but doubtful.
