only on lap 48 but Lewis just mail it in once he got to third? thought he would have cut into the gap to Max at least somewhat but seems like he's just managing and managing. he must be fuming still

He was 10s behind Max at that point. Don't think he had the tyres or performance to make that up. Probably sensible to take the P3.

makes sense. i was just surprised cause after Max pitted, he was only 6-7 seconds ahead of Lewis. might have just been saving the engine and not putting unnecessary stress on it
