both quotes very true... getting sick of the FB fiends and little girls with 6,000+ tagged photos in front of bathroom mirrors
Also I really hate those pages getting "liked" that are on some "I hate when I text you and you don't text back"

Because Twitter's whole deal is tied into dynamic updates of your life. You're supposed to be using it to tell people where you are, who you're with and what you're doing as its happening. Facebook, on the other hand, is more about after or before all that stuff has happened/will happen. You're supposed to be showing people what did the night before or giving everyone a heads-up about where you're gonna be later so they can join you. Constant streaming updates actually dilute that service because its not really how its intended to be used.

It is a paradox, I agree. I always thought that social networks were lame and for people to front about what an exciting life they have. I think it's bs. I have a facebook account, but I've had it since it was exclusively for college students. Now, it's just like myspace. I hope it dies out soon. I say if you really want to connect to people, do it personally. Facebook defeats the purpose.
