Fast and Furious Thread: Hobbs and Shaw Spin Off 2019 - Tyrese career ending injury

 People hate on Tokyo drift because #1 Bow wow is in it, #2 they hate Bama boy, and #3 most don't get the Japanese/drifting scene.

Seriously it's one of the better films in the series for racing and imagery. Open your eyes and stop the "durrrr but vin deezel omg" excuses

It's trash. The RX 7 was cool though.

All the F&F stories are far fetched, but this dude was a high schooler getting into huge conflicts with the Yakuza? OK

TD would've been much better if they had a different lead actor..Story line was fine, but the hillbilly dude was garbage..

Maybe they can introduce 1 or 2 new characters that show up to help avenge Brian's death/murder..That way they can keep the franchise going..

I heard a rumor a while back that the rocks character hobbs was getting a spin off movie, so they can end it at fast 7 and continue the series with hobbs spin off with a new name for the movie and they could bring brain back with a new actor like how they replaced terrance howard in iron man 2.

Have you seen the movie? Han clearly explained that whole thing though

James Bond isn't the best example because it's one character that just changed out actors but kept the character the same.

No way the OG crew would be cool with letting someone else play O'Connor and replacing the whole crew doesn't work.

5 and 6 were so successful bc of the action and then the chemistry of the crew.

No one goes to see Bonds for the actor even though the quality has varied widely

You're right that probably wasn't the best example, because I meant a whole crew, a whole cast of characters with a new story.

I think it's a split decision on TD, some people hate it some people love it. Personally, I've always liked the F&F series for the cars and the driving stunts. Also being a fan of drifting, TD was right up my alley. To me, the F&F series was all about the driving as soon as that Civic drove under that 18 wheeler. If you was like me, you was SOLD from that point on, you didn't even know the character or too much if the story, but you know what this movie was about. It's basically modern day car porn.

Honestly, I'm starting to Paul Walker's death as an opprunity to open up the series. It can go from a "series" to an actual "franchise" and probably all the way to "brand name". I feel like Hollywood needs more car chase movies. Make a bunch of F&Fs. Tie some together. Don't tie some together. (Technically, they've already been doing this.)Make F&F like a brand name, when we see it's an F&F film we know to expect, dope cars, awesome stunts with just enough story to have an emotional attachment to the chases. IMO, F&F movies are all we got when it comes to these movies. Yea, I know there are similar straight-to-DVD movies, but them ***** be corny. Nobody else is doing it like this(granted, I haven't seen that one with The Governator. Looks like it might be cool).

Drive was a good movie, but I felt it came up short in the driving.

Don't care what the explanation was. This dude Han literally just gave some random inexperienced American douchebag the keys to his car for no good reason. Right then and there you knew the movie was gonna be trash

And how is Bow Wow not a good reason to hate the movie? He's one of the major characters  Nathalie Kelly is fine though

It's a Fast movie, I don't know what to tell you, man. Clearly you dislike the movie and that guy and so do many people but this franchise is so crazy that there was a petition to get him back for the 7th one and it looks like it worked. And no one hates Bow Wow more than me, but I didn't mind his role in the movie *shrugs*

You watch porn with story lines, don't you?

Are you disappointed that someone has a different opinion than you? I didn't mention any of the other F&F movies even though they have nonsense stories. They have enough entertainment, character chemistry, humor, etc. to be enjoyable. Thanks for singling me out though, even though the good majority of F&F fans will tell you that movie was the worst

I been into racing and drifting before any of the FF movies, so I paid more attention to the actually races then the story line; and TD had the best showcase of racing hands down.  Drifting is better then flat out racing anyway, because of the skill and timing it takes to pull it off; and its just something about doing 60 mph sideways that really gets the blood flowing

Are....are u mad, bro? I don't understand how that question could really be insulting, but I'm just saying. You do realize these movies are consider "Popcorn Flicks"? How is more probable that a robot from the future will go back in time to kill an unborn baby, but, " OMG he just just let's some strange white boy drive ONE of his cars...Arghgfdfd THIS **** IS JUST OUTRAGEOUS!"?

Lol like cool out b

He knew from jump that Sean was a straight shooter, wanted him in his crew. Not many would stand up to DK like that.

Watching that Paul Walker tribute again made me remember Vin drove away with that Supra, how awesome would it be if it made a comeback at the end of F7? :smokin

I doubt tyrese and vin diesel will want to continue past 7

You guys are letting your emotions get the best of you. At the end of the day this is work to these guys. Im sure we all have had co workers pass away but we still went to work after a period of mourning. Life goes on. If vin and the gang do go on it shouldnt be looked at as disrespectful.

It is very unfortunate that he is gone. We know that. But at the end of the day its just a movie to us. And its a job to the actors.

Them continuing the franchise is not a slap in the face of paul walkers memory.

And the people getting mad about the wheel of fortune thing are taking it too far

A. I thought the Hans explanation was well done in TD, plus it showed what Hans MO was and how cool he was  dude just shrugged it off like nothing :pimp:

B. it seemed like they were going the franchise route when TD came out, but eventually (awesomely) they ended up bringing it all together into what we have now. If they did replace the crew into a new series of movies...could work, but I'd be skeptical.

C. 2F2F was a damn masterpiece for the quotables alone :pimp:

I'm all for bama boy getting the main role since it would make sense story wise. O'Connor has a kid to raise, Sean should be out for revenge on his mentor

Honestly I think that would be the best way to go. Just have Brian retire from the game to be a father to his son. Problem Solved.
