Worse than Part 2? Or Tokyo Drift? Or Hobbs and Shaw?
Idris Elba is a good actor. Couldn’t really shine with that tepid plot.
And lol at them fighting a cyborg.
2 is not a terrible movie at all lol. gotta take that for what it is. It was similar to 1 with the general take down a bad guy angle, but it had way more comedy, and the movie highlighted street races more so than the later films.
tokyo drift i think is very underrated. the fact that they included drifting as central racing theme, as opposed to straight line drag racing we were familiar with is dope...granted actual drift races prolly are a bit more technical but still. i totally get why it wasn't that popular of a movie, but it was a FF movie in japan, yakuza, Han and some kid trying to fit in a new place. there are mad anime shows that follow that plot minus the cars, so I felt some type of way about it. the race sequences in the movie (including the sound mixing) were on point. music too. yakuza boss actor is also
, loved him in kill bill.
hobbs and shaw?...i thought that was a movie the rock pushed for to add more clout idk lol. like idk that anyone was asking for that haha. so by all means trash that movie.
i wish they didn't get so far away from car culture. that was the beauty of fast five and why it is arguable the best (always will be). it launched the franchise into the full-on action movie mode while keeping car culture as a big motif. like when they were trying to get a car to beat the security camera window, they were testing porches, STI...idk a Z?
1 is forever classic because it was peak car culture.
i thought 8 was wild when he "built" a motor with a bolt on boat turbo on a dusty *** cuban 60s car and won, no dyno, tune, nada. now they driving to space?
lol that's like 1million horsepower, is that **** even manual still?
I'm gonna def watch F9 when it hits HBO Max or some **** lol. Gonna go see black widow instead cuz Marvel is life.
