Yeah, I've never had a pair yellow like that. From OG's to 2012's.

JK/JK brethren....NGL I have put some miles into these but me and people that I know personally have had the same issues with the bottom part of the midsole yellowing... everyone has their way of storing/cleaning there kicks....that's also always a factor

I put gel silica in all my shoe boxes, all are in my closet so no crazy humidity situations. Only shoe I ever had a problem with is glitter on my OVO 8s.

I thought silica gels dries up the leather and glue then over time they become brittle and start to split.

Any heads in Toronto, Canada know when the Playoff 12s will drop in Mens sizes up here? Footlocker and other places up here just say “They’re delayed, we don’t know”. When the Cool Grey 11s got delayed up here and randomly dropped, ended up missing out on them.

Silica packets are on a needed basis. I’m in Florida so using them and keeping them away from the sun is necessary. If I don’t grab for retail, I will skip them because they are barely worth retail. How do they have no new technology and worse quality but want way more? Plus, we gotta stop feeding the resale monster that we created

Big facts , problem is there is no way to prevent it. As much as it hurts cuz these are in my top 3 Jay's of all time I have I might pass this go around . Main reasons being the yellowing....too many kicks that I hardly wear, to have these yellow on me in 2-3 years with about 4-5 wears under the belt.

Once again just don’t b lazy clean the bottom midsoles of the shoe after each wear I’m talking same day like soon u get home soap tooth brush dry I got plenty white bottom shoes I’m talking 8 plus years old not yellow still white af1 and bugs 8 from 13 I’ll post a pic later if u wear shoe casually not walking n grass dirty promise they stay white my boi been doing it for years

I feel like sunlight might be the reason for the yellowing... but I dunno. What I do know is that I have never had a problem with gel silica drying out my "leather" or glue.

I have 2012 playoff DS and kept all these years in the most favorable conditions possible and they still have yellowed outsoles. Its not severe but its there. I dont sweat it. They will age.

I think they yellowed simply because its that specific materials aging process. Unless treated or cleaned regularly, thats what they will look like.

This is one of the most iconic models and color ways of all time. Yellow outsoles are just not my thing.
