Yeah... but you comparing two different things. a silicon wafer with actual metals, silver solder, a laborious mfg. process to setup dies, etc. to expendable/cheap media such as discs. Your comparison is analogous to e-books vs. printed books. Inflation on $ 50 dollars from 1997 would be $ 13. If you don't think the gaming companies are saving more $13 today to keep prices even you are foolish.
