I believe they are inclusive subjects. What is left to "discuss" when it comes to foamposites? Colors. La-di-da, la-di-da.
is this a foamposite discussion or a socioeconomic status debate?

This is on-point, despite my grievance with the thinking that the culture has suffered by becoming more mainstream. I personally like the recent inclusion. I find it hilarious that wealthy Chinese tourists go to FCNY and pick up J's for themselves. Culture evolves and that's cool, but I never forget the culture I was exposed to early on...Dudes been getting robbed for kicks since the 80s.
Most of the dudes on this site wouldn't have been able to rock ANYTHING fly back in the golden era - woulda got snatched right up out of it in broad day on a busy ave.
Sure, who likes to deal with that madness as a grown man, but the removal of that whole element was the gentrification of the culture. And, what happens when things get gentrified? The transplants come in and the existing residents get priced out.
If people were still getting checked for their gear, half these dudes wouldn't even be participating in this hobby.
Making it safe is the most important obstacle one has to clear to make it mainstream.
Again, it's cool that you can rock without getting rolled up on, I guess. But, at the same time, the effects of that change are not completely beneficial to the culture either.
Lakeland is a wasteland, University is my spot and HOH was out of my sz wanted to use my gc and bday joint.. I dont do Internationalwhat about at University and International Plaza? Or Lakeland Square
In other news went to get the obsidians but the curse of the sz 11 struck me down, i was a few minutes late and they sold the last 11... Hopefully the EU sites will come thru with a disco like they did with the volts

To this day I won't wear limited stuff immediately after launch, and I am always looking over my shoulder when wearing certain shoes. Maybe its a holdout from a prior era, but its what I know.
lol, truth!!

theres a higher chance of being robbed for your shoes than other things.. if youre in the hood.. and they see you looking clean in the kicsk.. they are going to check you rather than someone who may be holding something nice in their pockets or bookbag unless they see them remove it.. so shoes are like peacocks feathers in the hood..lolRobbery is a danger for everything, not just shoes. If you're scared to buy shoes in fear of getting robbed, then go live on a farm. People will get robbed for everything including phones and wallets.
remind me of those "oilspill" customs on youtube.
BRUH, DID ANYBODY SEE THIS?????
If these turn out right, they would be DOPE!

I think its a good thing its sorta safe to wear your kicks now, it shouldn't be I guess. No one should be robbed of there belongings and cats still get ran for there shoes. I grew up in Detroit in the late 80's and 90's, I remember going swimming and another kid taking my new Grant Hills out of my locker. Worst feeling ever when I got back to it and they were gone, luckily we caught up with him and got em back. Peeps should be able to rock what they want without fear.
If you're the dude getting robbed for his shoes in the hood then don't go to the hood. Simple solutions to simple problems.theres a higher chance of being robbed for your shoes than other things.. if youre in the hood.. and they see you looking clean in the kicsk.. they are going to check you rather than someone who may be holding something nice in their pockets or bookbag unless they see them remove it.. so shoes are like peacocks feathers in the hood..lol
if im going in the hood. i rock my 2k4's.. makes me less of a target.. stunt in some hoods.. you gonna get g-checked.. and i go through hoods where i may not know everyone.. where if you got OOS plates people really gonna question you.. im not afraid to go in most hoods (i wont go in Pork and beans or liberty city unless im with someone who is from there as those spots are just insane for visitors) but i use my common sense. If you're the dude getting robbed for his shoes in the hood then don't go to the hood.
