You guys really like to pick and choose when you adhere to scientific evidence and when you decide to follow your deeply-held beliefs.

Washing off your chicken only gets rid of any harmful bacteria on the surface of the chicken, which wouldn't stand a chance after cooking anyways.

Afraid of food-borne pathogens from chicken? Just cook it thoroughly. Your stupid vinegar/lime/whatever acid rinses are futile.

Everytime this convo comes up, I admit to doing it out of routine, principle, and to honor the ancient African warriors.

I am 100% aware of what the science says.

No. You always pat your chicken dry before cooking to create a crisp exterior.

Another instance of you showing you have no idea what you're talking about.

I'll say this, people still buy live chicken and kill it themselves sometimes. Now you do need a water to rinse off the feathers and excess remains to make it edible.

maybe here in the states where we get our chicken prepackaged from supermarkets it will make sense not to rinse the chicken with water but if your prepping a fresh recently killed chicken i better see some cleaning.

my mom's cleans the chicken with water, its was her way of life in nigeria and i don't think science will convince her not to stop.

Looking past the fact that your horrific grammar makes your post open to interpretation as to what you actually mean, there's a lot to know when it comes to cooking. This is made very much apparent by the fact that people employ practices that create no actual benefit to the end product.

I show pictures of food as well, but I like to make sure that I know what I'm talking about and can help others improve their skills in the process. Just wish I could say the same for you.

i need to start cooking fish dishes, i've do it in the past.

I didnt care enough to read past you talking about grammar mistakes because that's a true sign of a person not having **** to say so I'm just gonna do this and move along

So you've chosen the most insiginficant part of my last post and made it the crux of your argument to bolster your position.

Cool. Come back when you know something about cooking.
