How often y’all send food back to the kitchen?
Not that much, TBH. It's gotta be something egregious for me to do that. I honestly can't remember the last time I sent food back for something...
Finally scored some ribeye cap steaks from Costco. Lucked out and got the last pack yesterday. Cooking them using sous vide then finishing with a pan sear. Got some garlic mashed potatoes going on in there too. I’m also waiting for the dough to rise to make imitation Ozzie rolls from the Great American restaurants chain. Those and some easy green beans to complete the meal.
Just a waiting game now. I’ll post the final pics when I’m done.
This is my first sous vide. I follow Sous Vide Everything on YouTube and just following their recipe. They did a ribeye cap comparison and the butter + thyme combo was the best.Haven't cooked sous vide yet. What does the butter add in this process?
Nice meat, UceMade a roast in an air fryer for the first time.
It was an AMAZING trip. It was like speed dating 2 days in London, 3 in Amsterdam, and 2 in Paris. London reminded me of NYC and I wish we could have spent more time in Paris. Next time tho
We tried to hit up Dishoom the day we arrived, but the line to get in was ridiculously long and it was raining. We hit up some Mexican spot a block or so up. Probably my biggest regret was not eating there hahahahaha.
II have never had a falaffel sandwich w/ eggplant in it. Wasn't sure what to expect, but it was a 10/10.
Glad you enjoyed your time overseas...love the pics!
YO DISHOOM IS MY FAVORITE RESTAURANT IN THE WORLD!
If y’all need a reservation next time plz let me know, I got y’all.
s0lefunk Ozzie rolls
Folks outside of the DMV don't know about those.
I'm not a huge butter guy, but that sweet butter that the Great American Restaurants give w/ the rolls is the perfect pairing.
What are Ozzie rolls? I’m in DC lol.
broncos19dm dude their entire menu is unbelievable. The shrimp dish has to be my fav. Their brunch is top notch too.
Nice . How many times have you been there/how often do you go?
Oh wow, that's sick fam. How long were you in Switzerland for? I've always wanted to travel there, one day!I just moved back to the states from Switzerland. I was traveling to London weekly so I have been probably 25x. I would usually go with one of the partners so I didn’t have to wait in line lol.
My boy married a girl from Switzerland that he met at Hopkins. They are living over there now. I need to get over there and visit sometime soon.I just moved back to the states from Switzerland. It's a bread that they serve at the Great American Restaurants (Carlyle, Ozzie's, Sweetwater, Silverado, etc.)
Can probably best describe it is a beignet w/o the powdered sugar. They're literally crack.
*edit*
