FOOD THREAD VOL. GRUB LIFE

I mean it's more of a backhanded compliment, isn't it?

"You used to be the dumbest person in here. You're less dumb now though."

And people are supposed to focus on the positive? Naw man
Thats how she trolls and tries to gaslight/manipulate ppl.

A bit late but here are some pics of our meals from my trip to Europe a couple weeks back. Everything was absolutely AMAZING! Went to London, then Paris, then Rome. Tried to hit some of the lowkey/local spots but also went to some of the bigger ones too. Some places I can't remember the name but I'll include them if I have it! Side note: I'm vegetarian.

Chez Janou (Quite possible the best dining experience I've ever had). Server was awesome, took shots with us, all the food was hot and brought in a timely manner, beautiful area, delicious food. Even gave us free shots haha. I'm not even a dessert person but their chocolate mousse was unbelievable.

Unfortunately I didn't take more pics of our meals but this is what I had handy on my phone. This trip was truly one of the best experiences of my life and the food certainly played a big role in shaping my love for this trip! Can't wait to go back again one day. :nthat:

broncos19dm broncos19dm I was just in London/Paris this summer. We tried to hit up Dishoom and the wait was insane...how'd u pull it off? Can't remember if they took reservations or not, but if they did I have no clue why we didn't put our name on a list.

In Paris, we hit up l'as du fallafel also...organized chaos to get in, but man...WELL worth it.

Dope! How'd you like the trip? I can't remember which day during out trip we went, but the queue outside wasn't bad at all. We were a party of 4, and were waiting outside for about 10 minutes. They gave us the masala chai then we waited in the downstairs area for another 25-30 minutes and was seated shortly after. They told us it was going to be an hour but ended up being much shorter which was nice. I'm Indian myself and thoroughly enjoyed the food, I definitely see the appeal.

Most def man!! I'm a HUGE fan of falafels and l'as du fallafel was the best I've ever had. Line moved quick and the falafel sandwich was very filling.

I need to start posting in this thread more, love looking at all the good eats! My family bought an air fryer and has been doing a lot of cool dishes for our healthy meal prep.

Homemade stir fry for lunch yesterday with brown rice, veggies, and tofu:

I went to restaurant week last Saturday in DC with my cousin and ate at Altra Strada, great food.

It was an AMAZING trip. It was like speed dating  2 days in London, 3 in Amsterdam, and 2 in Paris. London reminded me of NYC and I wish we could have spent more time in Paris. Next time tho

We tried to hit up Dishoom the day we arrived, but the line to get in was ridiculously long and it was raining. We hit up some Mexican spot a block or so up. Probably my biggest regret was not eating there hahahahaha.

II have never had a falaffel sandwich w/ eggplant in it. Wasn't sure what to expect, but it was a 10/10.

Glad you enjoyed your time overseas...love the pics!
