Yep.

Plenty of folks put hot sauce un whatever liquid batter is being used to fry chicken.

Before grilling or baking chicken, hot ssuce is used in the marinade.

I feel the same about Sirracha. I view that as a seasoning more than I view it as aN actual sauce.


It does which is why this breakdown is needed.
Sirracha has almost no flavor to me and blows my mind how popular it is or was

Ijs hot sauce is also one of those outliers... deal with it.
It's not, if you define a sauce as a seasoning because it changes/enhances the flavor of the food you applied it to then every sauce would be a seasoning. Thinking otherwise would simply mean that you have trash tastebuds and therefore don't have the capability to detect said flavorial enhancements.

Are you asking whether they can be used the same way? If so, yes. I can dip food in it, add it to foods which is most common for spaghetti sauce, and obviously it changes/enhances the food it's applied to, hence the name.

I'm not asking can they be used the same way,food can be dipped in ice cream, but I think we call all agree it's not a sauce. I am asking are they one in the same.

Are you asking whether hot sauce and spaghetti sauce are the same thing? :lol:

Nobody is putting ice cream on foods or adding it to foods, example holds no weight

That's dipping, "adding" something to food would be like adding it when the food is being made or processed. The fry is already a fry, they didn't add the frosty to the potatoes and then fry them.
