Forgot to post last night.

Took a girl from Columbia University on a first date to Stanton Social on the LES. Tapas-style, shared: potato and goat cheese pierogies, "beef and broccoli," grilled summer squash ravioli, and Kobe beef sliders. Nice to see Executive Chef Chris Santos make his rounds.

It was dark and I was unable to take pics, unfortunately.

Where you go to school bruh?

Never ordered a torta before as burrito or carne asada fries are my go-to grub. Since it looks good when you guys post here I decided to give it a try. Bought it from a bakery but they also specialize in tortas, no burrito, tacos or anything like that. Got the Milanesa. These things are about the size of a mini football. :eek I finished it though. :o Tasted really good, gonna eat it from time to time instead of a burrito.

$6.50 before tax is a good deal. Spot is called Mexico Bakery in east side San Jose. They got great looking cakes, fruit tarts, and various pastries as well.

With Lollapalooza weekend over in Chicago I finally have some pics to post! Was a fun weekend but couldn't take a pic of all the festival food. Couldn't get a decent shot, always on the move.

Any tips on making (pre-cooked, refrigerated and sliced) chicken breast strips (Costco if anyone is familiar) jucier? Right now I just throw it in a pan with oil, low-med fire for a couple minutes on each side then im done. I do marinate it with teriyaki sauce (looking to experiment more) and it does help but is it the fact its refrigerated meat that makes it less juicy when I cook it?

Total newbie here.
