Really good tomatoes make a sandwich better, but most sandwich places have average, tasteless tomatoes.

If I want some greens on a cold sandwich, I will throw some Spinach on there and not some basic lettuce.

is there a lettuce hierarchy in ur opinion
like i prefer butter lettuce above all
and that can def upgrade a sandwich waaaay better than iceberg

I RARELY eat lettuce. Mainly eat lettuce when I go to Fatburger, and that's because they shred it. Don't know why I prefer it that way

Tomatoes have to be charred or cooked down for me to eat them

Arugula is good, got that peppery taste. You can’t just be throwing it on whatever though.

I once got a lettuce brochure and it called frisée the Lindsay Lohan of lettuces whatever that means.

There's nothing like some cold crisp lettuce in a burger or chicken sandwich.

Elevates the experience.

Never tried spinach though. Usually only put that on pizza. Do you sautae it or raw like Popeye?

Nah man. That crunch to soft ratio is appreciated.

The cold/hot contrast is exquisite.

Most ppl don't cuz they ignorant.

as a black person growing up in the hood
i was use to only american and cheddar
and swiss if we was being fancy
different kinds of cheese i had to learn about growing up
or at least when i was old enough to pay for groceries with my own money
so probably around 14
but some folks just never venture out to other cheeses

i got it on just regular crust

Swiss, Cheddar, American Cheese, pepper jack and Colby is all I need. Blue cheese was one of the worst things I’ve ever tasted in my life.
