With Thanksgiving being next week. What are y'all making and do you have any Thanksgiving staples in your household?

staples and menu this year:

fried turkey
mac and cheese
sweet potato casserole
rolls

might also do wedding soup and crab dip as appetizers

haven't decided on a vegetable yet. probably some sort of green bean dish

the all-costco sourced bacon, egg, cheese butter roll

didn't have american cheese so used sharp cheddar

prime rib because my family doesn't eat turkey
hot pot
pancit
filipino-style wonton soup or chicken congee
stirfried veggies with oyster sauce and garlic
filipino fruit salad
lumpia
gonna try to make an ube souffle cheesecake too

that sounds delish especially since im not big on Turkey. After Thanksgiving im going to try to make Prime Rib.

Either potato gratin or garlic mashed potatoes
Probably gonna grab some oysters and crab legs for appetizers
Maybe some charcuterie
Maybe another goodie
And the beer. My god, the beer that will be drank.

oh you mean a nice SHARKCOOCHIE. Delish we will have one at our house as well. Also beer is the best can't wait to buy the drinks for thanksgiving.

oven roasted turkey and/or fried chicken
sweet potato cassrole - the kind with pecans and toasted marshmallows
stuffing
garlic mashed potatoes
jalapeno mac and cheese
cranberry sauce - the canned kind :lol:
pecan pie with ice cream


those are usually the staples for me. i usually do the mac and cheese and my mom does the rest :lol:
 
break out the mandoline and finger guard and go gratin

the superior potato dish. i usually save it for Chirstmas though

Thanksgiving is the only time i make mashed but not doing it this year
HE'LL YEA BORTHR. 1/16" setting or bust.

It's the superior option, but it's a pain in the *** to make in comparison to mashed. :lol:
