Brazilian disco de carne. It tastes like fried breaded gyro meat. Sauces they gave me, mustard, mayonnaise, ketchup, & some cilantro sauce. (I added hot sauce too)

This is a racial issue.

why should a bowl of ramen with quality ingredients that has been painstakingly made over the course of a day not be $15 when a plate of boiled pasta and sauce or olive garden be $15.

For too long Asian food been pigeon holed to being “cheap”

Can't argue with that.

Both are overpriced if we are being honest.

ESPECIALLY some Italian Dishes.

Michelin star ramen in Japan is $10-15

Most good ramen is absolutely not overpriced

Michelin star spots can jack their prices up because of the "Name."

There are plenty of VERY GOOD Ramen spots in Japan that I wouldn't break $10

Everything is overpriced here.

Cost of labour in the US, slow customer turnover. Staff are less skilled so you need more labour

in Japan people in and out of ramen shops in 10-15 minutes, in the us it’s a 30min-1hr experience, restaurant staff are like 5 people max in Japan

I understand "WHY" things are overpriced here but that doesn't erase the fact that things ARE overpriced HERE.
