Made chicken and chorizo paella
Used Spanish chorizo instead of something like morcilla against better judgement
The chorizo was good but didn’t go well with the rest of the flavors
I would do all chicken or chicken and rabbit next time

Double chicken tostada salad from El Pollo Loco. Had it two days in a row lol
My brother moved to Rocklin (close to Sacramento) so visited him the past two weekends. A lot of new food spots to explore, didn't take pics when we went to a BBQ joint and taqueria but it was really good.

At a bbq a few weeks back
Ox Tavern - Spiced Beef Empanadas; meh. Tasted like bean paste. Not spicy at all. Sticking with Empanada City from now on (or authentic homemade empanadas).
China Dragon - Chicken lo mein
TGI Friday - Southern Fried Chicken sandwich
Knapp St Pizza - Buffalo wings; Looks good but they used too much corn starch or something to dry out the skin on the wings and make it too crunchy. Eat it without knowing and you'd cut up ya mouth.
Ox Tavern - Good Ol' Boy Burger
Juicy's Cheese steak - Philly Cheesesteak; oh man they really got me this time. I was looking for some place new to order from. Decided on cheesesteak and I should've knew something was up given how close the place was. I had already ordered when I Google mapped the place. Definitely paid extra for a damn corner store sandwich. Bread was mad soft though

Honey BBQ Crispy Chicken Sandwich. Really tasted good.
Combo Platter(Chicken & Lamb) Over yellow rice Add ons: Fries, Carrots, Raisins, White Sauce. Carrots were sweet. Also tasty.
Lamb Gyro W/Fries White Sauce, Green Sauce (Mint). Tasted fresh and big portions.
Mango Lassi. This wasn't tasty.

I always say the protein at chipotle is bland with minimal flavor but I tried the new smoked brisket and it was really good. Hope they keep it on the menu.

My son is at college a few hours away and we went to see him today and took him to get lunch at this fish and chips place on the coast.
Fresh fish as you’d expect and really good. The choice of topping varies according to your region. Some areas do ketchup, most of the UK does vinegar, around my city (and really nowhere else) you get “sauce” which is brown sauce mixed with vinegar - but in this area they offer gravy. I put some on the bottom left to try and it was pretty good - nothing special though, just tasted like a regular vegetarian gravy. Not bad on chips but overall I prefer ketchup.
