Our local takeaway has been under new owners for a few months now - and it’s really good. They have an online ordering system which I like - you can order then go and get it 20 minutes later. Do all the usual fish and chips stuff plus pizzas, kebabs, baked potatoes…
Anyway, last night it was just 3 of us and my son asked for fish and chips so we got that and I split a chicken kebab and chips with my wife. I got there and they didn’t have the order - they were apologetic but the third party order thing they use didn’t seem to be working. I had proof I’d paid so they just made it up.
We all enjoyed it last night.
Fast forward to today and about 5pm I got an email saying thanks for your order. I figured it was just the system catching up but then I got a call from the place saying the order was ready for collection - I said they might remember that mine was the one that got missed last night - and they did. They already had it ready so said I should come and get it and call it compensation.
So, free dinner tonight.
