Oh yeah, it was a funeral home for decades. The first funeral I ever went to was there. So eating in there just seems way weird to me.
I come in peace and this is for the others that agreed, what exactly is the hangup and/or the thought of what the worst thing that can even happen?

Sleeping in a "haunted" hotel, I can see but as far as eating, help me get it.

I come in peace.

People die all over, hella bodies at the airport you just don’t know or hear about it. 🤫

How about takeout?
If the food was legendary and it was bought by someone else, perhaps.

It wouldn’t be one any of my lists to ever try, but I’d try it if offered.

I just can’t imagine myself willingly going there for food, especially not sitting in the building to eat.

Oh yeah, I forgot to mention a 👵 died on the patio last place I cooked at.

You can’t control where you die all the time. :lol

People die everywhere

MY main issue with it is that the place you’re eating at is / was a place DEDICATED to dead and decaying bodies.

I’m fine being in a hospital room, knowing someone may have died there. But when I think about the fact that there’s a morgue there where dead and decaying bodies are SUPPOSED to be stored / kept for any period of time, it makes me slightly uncomfortable.

What are the illogical reasons Brother Law?
Just makes me feel weird because I can't help but think of the funerals I've been there and all the times I past it over the years when caskets were getting wheeled out or in. Just doesn't give me a good "let's enjoy a meal there" vibe.

Maybe if it was another restaurant in a different former funeral home space, I'd feel different about it.

Sis-in-law wanted to try this new halal Chinese spot Mr. Chang so we checked it out earlier. This is in Steinway St. Astoria, Queens. I ordered the beef dumplings(steamed), scallion pancakes & General Tsao chicken.

The beef in the dumplings was super savory & had that authentic beefy taste if that makes sense. General Tsao was pretty good as well. The scallion pancakes were ok but a bit too oily if I'm being honest. Now chilling secondhand smoking in a hookah lounge. Monday night vibes 😎.
