Bro, I eat cow heart like 2-3 times a month when I can find it. It's easy to overcook and make tough but I fry it up in chunks like you did here with a couple of eggs sunny side up.

Is it like liver texture?

I would say no but I've only had liver pounded out really thin. Heart is just a muscle with very little to no fat so it's more similar to a tough steak. You can still make it medium rare and leave it tender and pink inside though.
And unlike liver that has that awful mineral aftertaste, heart just has a deep beefy flavor. Plus it marinades really well.

Back at LES last night for some more Mamoun's. Got the chicken with falafel this time. It was absolutely delicious. Also got pizza from Louie's in Elmhurst, Queens- phenomenal.
Not too far from there is a Colombian bakery with great buñuelos. Been meaning to get some for so long.
