FOOD THREAD VOL. GRUB LIFE

my parents are the same way. When folks visit, they always bring them to Asian Pearl lol. There are many other restaurants we could go too but they always want to go to this one. As of late, they been bringing folks that visit us to Jackson Rancheria Casino for their lobster buffet. In fact, we are going tonight cause my folks are visiting from Anaheim Hills:lol:
I still need to try that Lobster buffet lol.

I'm not even a big fan of lobster.

Jackson is a good place. i prefer crab over lobster. Lobster is good stir frying with ginger/scallons lol
They have all types of crabs at Jackson. King, dungies, snow etc...
i guess Jackson Casino is 1 of 2 places in California that serves all you can eat lobster. That explains why alot of my family in the bay and socal come up here and want to go to Jackson

Never had SS Crabs. You just eat the whole thing right? Friend? How is it? So damn, all the insides are eaten too?

Yeah. My friends ordered it at this late night Chinese / dim sum spot and it was good. Not sure if they take out any of the insides before they fry it though.

As an Asian man, you are more likelty to want to eat the guts of a crab. As a non-Marylander, you are less likely to truly understand how amazing crabcakes are. #Regional + #Cultural

That's def not cultural where I'm from.
Seafood is king.

Perhaps regional

You preferred steak well done your entire childhood and most of your adult life, so I can't really entertain your opinions on certain things food wise.
I probably ate 5 steaks from the ages of 0-28, so my opinion on steak doesn't matter at all.

But that statement makes no sense. You say you take my opinion, in certain conditions, then disrespect my steak knowledge.

But we are discussing seafoods? Hmmm

I'm questioning your pallete
Which became a little more mature just 6 years ago

I never had crab until I moved to the south.
I've seen black and white people eat crabs like I do hundreds of times. Guts and all...which are delicous. Like I said that could be a southern coastal thing.

I'm sure chucktwnsfinest can vouch

I've had crab cakes. They'e good...great...amazing...probably out of this world in maryland
But I just prefer the fresh untouched taste.

Thing is the workers weren't even illegal, just working on visa.
Results are the same. This administration wants to reduce poor black and brown coming into this country. I know you already know this.

OT, if you got a mil to invest in real estate you can get a green card tomorrow.
Opening up the body of a crab with all the goodness and roe >>>> a crab cake
The first time I had crab was as a child in Yemassee, SC in the early 80s. Fam had a big truck filled with crabs.
Foods that where cheap when I was a kid: crabs, wings, ox tails

Fish next: Mullet, Whiting, Croaker
I'm not a mullet fan so yall can have that.

$30 a plate

Bay Cities :pimp::pimp:
