Last night saw one episode of Action Bronson's show F.T.D. He said best spot to get jamaican patties in Queens called Jamaican Flavors. Patties for $2.50, jerk chicken sandwich for $3.50 (barring any increase since that airing)
Anybody else watch that series?

Yea, haven't watched it in a minute though. I need to catch up.

Creative dude, lot of different interests!

@matters7 How many of these have you eaten?

But to answer the question, If the LB Cake has icing on it, I don't want it. I would get rid of THAT.
But in general, I would get rid of Peach Cobbler (I eat it the least, no reason, just do)

For MY NYC HEADS

As a yardie I approve the pepperoni w/ mozza. Food evolve and grows and combining cultures usually makes a good combo, word to Jamaican Chinese food. It takes nothing away from the original, delicious beef patty, it's their own thing. I feel like American born 2nd gens are more upset than the rest of us.

Everyone isn't this open minded when it comes to food.

This goes back to my point of "authenticity" doesn't equal "better."

So many of the things we love today are modified versions of their original forms.

How much was the Indian buffet? The ones near me look too sketchy to try, trust it’s a priority if I spot a good one out of town.

Man you have to tell us what is in their. It looks like scrapple is in there (I know it isn't). LOL

Lol it looks like that because they toast the burritos so the cheese and the sauces goo together.

Chicken
Onions
Guac
Their crema
Hot sauce
Cilantro

I don’t eat rice and/or beans

I wish all burrito spots toasted their Burritos.

That is why, of the fast food chains, I appreciate Baja Fresh so much

There's one down the road from citadel mall called taste of India.

They have a buffet that starts at 11am.
Bout 10 bucks a person.

It's delicious. The goat curry is really good.

Went camping this weekend:
One night we made tacos de asada

We were using Ash wood to burn in the pit, embers were nice hot and long lasting, cooked the meat beautifully.

With the left over asada the next night we made something called Papa Supremas, translated into English supreme potatoes, a recipe we got from Sonora, Mexico, about 10 yrs ago. Basically a baked potato, cut open potato making a cross, add butter, add your choice of meat, choice of cheese we normally stick with Mozzarella (place back in the oven or over the embers in this case and get the cheese nice and melted) add to that sour cream, and salsa. Eat it with a fork and normally served with corn chips. You can also add guacamole, cilantro, onions, and sauteed mushrooms if you like.

Awesome meal man. Some sharp cheddar on that potato would've been otherworldly
