FOOD THREAD VOL. GRUB LIFE

Speaking of balanced diets: I decided to stop eating like I hate myself today. Did some meal prep for my 3-day work week. First night is marinated teriyaki chicken breasts with pineapple juice, shredded coconut, and sesame seeds along with some yellow squash with lemon and crushed red pepper.

The crust is store bought.
-Sauté some breast or thighs (about two breasts)
-remove chicken and cook a chopped, large carrot, one large celery stalk, a half and onion until tender
-add about 3-4 teaspoons of flour and cook for a couple min
- add some chicken or beef stock (about 1 3/4 cup, and 2/3 cup of milk.
-let it simmer until thickened
-add chicken back to the mix And stir occasionally
-add a can of peas.

-put a pie crust at the bottom and over the top (egg wash the top)
-bake on golden brown at 425°

That’s what New Yorkers brag about?
Nah. It's not bad for just some plain slices though.

They certainly have better options for whole pies. Those spots just weren't convenient for me as far as location and my timeframe.
