If it is fake, somebody took a LOT of time to make the site

The Whois is registered to the Nebraska Book Company,

http://www.nebook.com/default.asp
http://investing.business...shot.asp?privcapId=31933
http://www.fundingunivers...Inc-Company-History.html

It looks like they're legit.

For those having trouble: To get the book, click on the green "Get your free rental now" link, search for your book, find your book and click "check stock", and the "check stock" link should change to "rent for free", then follow the instructions they list.

So you've rented with them before?

Correct me if I'm wrong, if you don't return it in time you pay the full price?

Crap, scared I might forget.

I've rented books before, but not with them, per-se.

My campus book store has a arrangement with a text book rental org.

You essentially pay a small fee (often significantly lower than that of the retail price) and then they ship you the book, which you then have until the end of the semester.

My semester (Fall) concluded on the 17th of December, and the book is due back (I think) tomorrow, so that should give you an idea of the lee-way/buffer space you have until you return the book.

Failure to send it back when it's due results in them charging you either a late fee or the full retail price (although I can't quite recall the circumstances that precipitate either action).

They also actually pay the return postage fee and everything so it's hassle free on your end.

...

Gotcha. Thanks...I just hope I remember to ship it before then. I've got to ship it at least 2 weeks before due date, ya never know how slow their prepaid shipping is.

Neebo is for sure legit. They took over two of the biggest bookstore chains at my school. I'm not exactly sure what they do for those bookstores, but they have stickers in the window and on the books and stuff.
