Hi friends,

My company is looking for a new receptionist/Help Desk specialist. The person in this position reports directly to me. Unlike last time, I don't have full hiring authority, but I do have final decision on whoever the company picks to interview.

This job is mostly reception/office manager type of work i.e. sitting at front desk, answering phones and transferring calls, greeting visitors, making coffee in the MA, managing office supplies and logistics, also assisting with our Board meetings (setting up room, printing name cards, etc) and assisting with preparing our monthly Board books (assembling information, making it look pretty, putting the books together)

I don't work for Tribal Tech, so I have no clue about their hiring policies (I work for the subcontractor) or what they are looking for in a candidate.

But if you apply an are called in for an interview, I can probably help out there ( just an FYI: the company I work for usually has phone interviews, primary interview with HR, and secondary interviews with staff members prospective employee would work for. The latter part is what I have limited dominion over)

Anyway, if interested, please click on the link and submit information requested. Feel free to PM me with your resume/CV and I'll try to put in a good word...again, I can't do much until you get called for an interview.

I don't know pay/benefits for TT, but the benefits should be similar to what the subcontractor offers. I'd guesstimate salary around $43k, with federal holidays off. I believe work hours would be 8-5 or 9-6 M-Fri in downtown DC (2 blocks from White House)

It's nothing glamorous, but this would be a good position for recent grads or someone trying to get into the non profit or government (our work is exclusively with Feds)

43k in DC? Good luck to you and whoever you hire. Blessings and Karma back to you

A receptionist isn't exactly a high level position, 43k seems fair. It's a stepping stone. I've seen receptionists get in the company then move on to be admins, coordinators, analysts, managers etc. It is what you make it. Good looks op and everyone who looks out for nt fam.

$16/hr for a receptionist job seems fair. Should be enough for a single person
