FUNKO POP! VINYL THREAD (FUNTKO FACTION) STRANGER THINGS HAVE HAPPENED...

The ship sailed on pop reselling. Unless you can do good at a con it's not worth it any more. The trick was to be first to take pre-orders for hyped stuff and then hope you could fill them, otherwise refund the buyer. That's how I made a bunch of money but seems people caught on and everyone is doing that now. I don't have time to do that any more it was a lot of effort and kind of a crap shoot on what return you would get. Usually I would sell for 1.5-3X what I bought the pop for. But that was like 10-20 pops at a time so each lick was looking like 50-600 in profit. Alpha 5 fiasco was a headache but I ended up making like $400 off half of those I bought. Still have a bunch left anyone needs one for cheap :nerd: The best bet for making $ now is hoping you were smart and acquired some rare stuff a year or two ago. If you are buying new release pops now hoping to make money forget about it.

Or jump on the waffle gig on the groups....dudes are making least 20-30% over PPG value on there....I can easily sell Maul for 10/250$/1 format and split that into minis for 10/25$/1 and make 2500$ on it....problem with the waffles is you gotta get your name around for the rest of the big spenders to come out and support your own waffle...is a weird community, basically support me and I'll support you.

I'd rather just sell what I have left straight up on eBay. I've already had bank accounts shut down, been dropped from Quickbooks, Square, etc... I'd like to keep my personal PayPal account and not have it shut down for something as small and trivial as pops  Best of luck with your gambling though. I only invest in sure things and rarely gamble even at casinos.

Lmfao I lost like $70 in raffles...I said f*ck it, none of the pieces on my want list are over $250 and I could've just put that cash towards one of them lol. But I see your system, that's what I used to do with shoes. Was clearing $40-$70 profit per shoe and there was no money on my end being put out lol. It was great.

Unless there's a Batman or Spidey Freddy, all those are getting posted on eBay while I'm at fundays lmfao

You keep bringing up the maul and its current value, but say you don't need the money and it doesn't matter - so why bring up its rising value?

He's a hypebeast bro. The validation of having something rare/valuable makes him feel good. Many of us NTers are that way. Let him cook. You mad?

Yeah the pop resell game isn't dead but it's tricky. If you're a vendor and cop at wholesale you can make it work, but secondary selling is tough because the stuff that you know sells for big profit is hard to come by because of store limits and availability. The other problem/nuance with pops is you just don't know what will be hot or not. It may be a relative small overhead compared to kicks and Supreme but it's the same if not more leg work for far fewer returns.

Case in point the SW Celebration pops. Last year's Celebration / SDCC coincide pops were still readily available at gamestop till a month or so ago and had 0 hype or resellability however people went bananas for this years (BTW i feel last year's ceremony Luke and Han should have been this years) Same goes for regular SDCC pops. False Idol supes for example. While BvS did flop, i figured that pop would be hella hype but it's still on GS for less than retail.

Now the name of the game is Chase and store exclusives but even those are a gamble which is another perplexing thing to me. Maybe because Funko struck a new deal with Walmart but 90% of their exclusives are still available on the site. Like you can still get an unmasked Kylo on their site! Unless you get in when the first early shipment hits and cake off the gotta have early boys, it's a wrap. Target, GS, TRU exclusives are gonna be dependent on the property. HT exclusives? Meh.

If you hoarded the right stuff from 2-3 years ago you can cake right now with all the Funko newbies getting in the game daily. However now with so many properties you'll never know what's gonna hit or flop down the line. Case in point Friends pops.

The only way to hit right now is have that Peru White hoarder mentality and play the long game. Also have that knee grows luck and stumble across droves of chases all at once :x cuz chases are the ones that will always bring the dollars.

Why don't you just return the alpha 5 to Walmart instead of taking the time to sell for cheap? Plus you get your money back asap

Yeah let me just chill with these yeezys then lol. I was thinking about playing the Amazon game and ordering like 24 and keeping the chases and then returning the regular. We'll see

They have the signs posted up all over the local hot topic.

I'm gonna break down for that Mr. Robot eventually. Just needs to be for retail

If anyone has a chase meeseeks hit me up, got malificent or paper for ya.

Because there is still a novelty feel to it, obviously...I'm not gonna lose my marbles if it drops, but it does feel great to see them rise, I never denied that...lol...we all like to own exclusive **** to a certain extent.

Btw that Unmasked Leia is on par with Ned now...crazy....other than Disney and Freddy pops, I think STar Wars seems to be the liscnece that gains most traction, as of late that Qui has been one of the only new POPs that saw a crazy hike and has remained high...I think is closing in on 600$ damn who ever landed him for retail last year, WON.
