How is it "debatable?"  

These aren't "my laws."  Look up your state's laws.  In most states, exemptions for raffles are only extended to those held to benefit a registered nonprofit.  

I looked up what state you're from.  I looked up the associated gambling laws.  It's not legal.  If you want to break the law on Facebook, that's your problem.

That's always been the rule.  Routing through the buy/sell area helps us protect users from spam and fraud.  You can always set up a group PM if you want, or use a different service.  

Yes, they're cheap little toys - but, as with sneakers, they aren't always priced that way due to artificial scarcity.  It doesn't make a lot of sense for us to say "you can't sell these $200 shoes outside the buy/sell area" in the sneaker forums and then let people run an illegal gambling scheme and sell toys for $100 in here.  

These aren't new rules.
