Going to In-N-Out for the first time today... What to get?

I don't eat there much. I hate their fries, burgers are okay, i'd probably try the neopolitan shake next time i go.

i hope one day in-n-out comes to the east coast

and i hope we get White Castle in the west coast

Shake shack is better than In-N-Out IMO. The line in NYC is ridiculous. But the Miami Shake shack line is short

Double double, regular and grilled onions, extra lettuce. Fries well done with a lot of ketchup and spread to dip. And yellow peppers too.

Never tried the neapolitan shake, I'll try to remember to get that the next time I order. Has anyone ever tried their root beer floats? 

Even though I worked there for a bit, I never tried the root beer float primarily because I'm not a fan of Barq's. If it's not A&W, then I'm not making a float out of it.

I don't agree but taste is subjective. You have to keep in mind In-n-out is not competing with 5 Guys. 5 Guys is intended to be a gourmet/premium type burger with a higher price point. In-n-out competes with the likes of Mcdonalds, Burger King, Jack in the Box, etc.

My opinion: Is inNout good? Yes. Are they amazing? Nah.

Fries are pretty average, but I actually enjoy them.

Price doesn't matter. I've had $15-25 burgers that can't compare to in-n-out.

I think he's talking more about the hype that people are reading about. Yes, it's probably the best fast food burger on the West Coast... but take that for what it's worth. FAST FOOD. So people try it with these high expectations, but they completely forget they were handed the food via drive thru.

You just have to keep this in mind, the burgers are delicious, fries are good, and shakes are excellent.

That and the fact that you don't have to spend an arm and a leg makes you come back wanting more. No hype, no bs, it's good and not expensive.

It's as simple as that.
