GOING TO VEGAS IN A WEEK VOL: Help me with my experience...

Juat came back from MDW. joint was cray. We didnt have tickets tot he Tao party so the dude work ing the door got us in for $1100 for 13 of us or about $85 a head. Felt we got beat but the yambs were plentiful. Saturday we walked around the MGM pool and scooped up ***#!# left anf right. Too damn easy. then we hit the Luda party at Rain and it was pretty good. sunday we threw a "Surprise bday party" for our boy. Had chicks all over the place. Another cray night. I had to leave around 7pm on Monday tot catch the redey to go back to work. I'm mad cuz my boys told me last night was redic and they're just getting up.

Spent a total of about $1500 including flight, drinks, hotel , and food. Not too bad considering. looking fwd to going back just not on a holiday weekend tho. Too much ratchetness.

*%@ IS THE POLO TOWERS?... my friend is the best man for another dude, so he was planning everything.. like i said, its gonna be my first time there so i wanted to stay in a nice hotel and what not.... but dude kept on lagging and lagging and just now got the room because we missed out on the venetian.. the polo towers look like a retirement home and doesnt even have a casino in there... so now i gotta pay $300 for a place i didnt even wanna stay at... damn.... i wish i had a hook up on a room at a better hotel

i kinda wanted to go the EDC but the way the tickets came out, so instead of going with a group of 6 its gonna be a group of 3 for 1 day... and i gotta pay $125...

It depends on what you doing, you gambling alot? Bottle service? Shopping? If yes to the first two budget $2500ish for splitting bottle service with average gambling. If no, you could get away with 1k. If shopping add whatever the cost of what you plan on buying. I've been to Vegas before for 3 days and didn't go wild and just spend $600. Other times though ive blown 5k.
you do not need 1k for 3 days.

my first time in vegas i spent 400-700 don't know the total for almost a full week of activities. which included 2 days of clubbing with NO bottle service. buing mad alcohol at bars, clubs, rehab pool party / as well as at the liquor store.  light gambling at the machines (about 100 dollars worth) I don't know if i came up or lost in the end but i was entertained for over 13 hours doing that. ****'s last resort (everyone should check this play out imo) it's a one of a kind restaurant experience and you will either be

poster who asked about edc shuttle; i copped mine because its actually worth it. depending on how many heads you go with you'll be splitting a 50 dollar cab each way. and since we have 3 day passes we needed it. plus you have the convenience of saying #%@@ your friends if you get parties out or need to go your separate ways. for a bit.

Yo I have no idea about the restaurants / buffets so can we get more info on that ? either 5 star high end ones or buffets.

i did one buffet planet hollywood and was pretty impressed. and i also ate at some small joint in paris (LV) that was just absolutely amazing. when they brought out crabs and didn't bring the joint to crack it because it was already split lengthwise i was just

Just got back last night, was there since Thurs. After Rehab on Sunday I was pretty much done.
Ludacris at Rain was dope, but we had a table outside and they didnt they music loud until AFTER he was done performing
indifferent.gif

We hit up Ditch Friday, not too crazy but good way to start the wkend. Wet Republic on Saturday was cool but I def dont have to do that again.
Rehab was Ratchet Heaven. It was like the I Get Around, Rump Shaker and Pumps and a Bumps videos were all brought to present day.
As far as food, we hit up the Wolfgang Pucks at the MGM twice, I love that place now. Also everyone should try Hash House Go-Go or something like that. Its in the Imperial Place, which is a dump, but that restaurant is really good.

Damn fam the Polo Towers? Ya'll might as well go to RENO instead

On the real, The Venetian could've been had for $150-175 +$% a night if ya'll did your research. Add in the $20 trick and ya'll would've been good $ for your first vegas trip...

Damn. At least you got rooms though. That's going to be an insane weekend. The first time I went to Vegas it was for one of the biggest convention and trade shows. The city was a zoo, and that wasn't even a weekend.

As for holiday weekends, I agree with what someone said earlier, I just don't think I can do them. Did LDW last year and that was enough. It's just too much. I'm down with Sunday - Wednesday trips now. Those industry nights are just as fun as a Friday or Saturday.

Yeah, that's a total fail on his part. I'd un-invite him from the wedding for that. Or at least demote him to third groomsman.

Polo Towers are actually decent, I stayed there a couple years back & had your same sentiments. No casino, but its right on the strip. Our room had a kitchen, living and dining room and 2 full sized bedrooms. More like an apartment than anything. It isn't a large casino, but you should have no problem with your accommodations as long as your boy booked a nice room.

The runners for the tables can easily make $250-$300/night. If you're in the right gig, you can make double that.

Really guys if you aren't looking for a dope place to stay on the strip and all your looking for is a place to crash.

I'd highly recommend the Rio.The rooms are usually nearly dirt cheap and the rooms themselves are damn big.If your coming up from Cali and are making the 4 or 5 hout drive from LA,SD,OC, or Socal you should be straight with driving from the Rio and onto the strip. They do also have a free shuttle service.Where it takes you from the Rio and drops you off at Bally's.I used it when I went shopping at the Forum Shops @ Caesar's Palace and walked on the strip last time I was in Vegas 2 weeks ago.

The M has a great buffet but it's in south vegas.I'm not sure if it's still there but there was Hash House A Go in the M last time I was there.

But to me Hash House is overrated and this place which is also off the strip is a lot better:

Black Bear Diner:

As far as it being a rumor, anything can happen in Vegas.

describe how u engaged? they have rubbers on standby?
I had some rubbers, don't know if they do. As far as engaging it was her who suggested we should go to a "quieter" section.

I still smh @ the amount of money those dudes made. I know they split it with a few other runners but i'm thinking damn. I'm sure other dudes were willing to drop mpre then that after we got it. Was so worth it tho. Cant wait to go back. gotta go on a slower weekend tho. MDW was too damn ratchet.

Grab the 2br suites at polo. Basically looks like you're renting a condo. If I remember right, the hotel has an entrance to the Cosmo property too. Not too bad for the price if you're looking for a place to crash on that side of the strip. Comes with a kitchen too.
As for restaurants...

on the cheap (less than $10 and noteworthy)

- Secret Pizza at Cosmo

- Steak/Eggs at Bill's (line is absurd though)

- Cheesesteak at the casino level of Venetian

- Honestly, when I'm on the cheap, I'll eat mall food.

next level up ($20-40 a head)

- BLT Burger at Mirage

- Serendipity (I'm a sucker for the frozen hot chocolate)

- Chino Poblano at Cosmo

- Rio Buffet

- Wicked Spoon (haven't had it yet personally, but everyone raves about it as being the best buffet on the strip)

next level up ($40-80)

- Lavo at Palazzo (great spot for a nighttime snack... the DJ I've seen spin here is really pretty and spins solid hip hop)

- Bouchon at Venetian (highly recommend this)

- Fiamma Trattoria at MGM

- I've heard Jaleo at Cosmo was really good... I'd cosign this based off my experience at Chino Poblano.

next level up

- Cut at Palazzo (mom's favorite steakhouse)

- AquaKnox at Venetian

Truthfully haven't had a chance to eat at too many ballin spots. I NEED to try SeaBlue and Nobhill Tavern at the MGM though, along with N9NE  at the Palms since I always hear good things about these spots.

Pretty geeked for next week. The ride down there is gonna be a lot of fun.

N9NE gotta be up there as one of my favorite restaurants in Vegas. their sides, especially the mac and cheese and lobster mashed potatoes

Yeah, I've heard their food is much better than STK's when comparing trendy steakhouses. How much does it run for, like 100 a head?

For those who've been to both Wicked Spoon and Wynn Buffet...Which is better?

When I go to Wynn, I head there around 230 to stay for the dinner portions coming out...
