It's always a good idea to get rewards cards, it'll eventually accumulate and you'll get comps. If you play with that $2k at the black jack table and manage to make that last 8-10 hours in table hours total, that is a free room and free dinner right there easily. My friends used to bring $500 and sit on the black jack table and play for 4-5 hours/day and he'd get his rooms for the whole weekends comped along with free meals.

Use it on the slots and hit it big and make it last a few hours, same deal, free room and comps. Every dollar counts. If you go with friends who has no cards, get additional cards, give it to them and ask them to use it every time they play the slots and it'll accumulate points for you too. So definitely get a card and in the end, you may get your whole trip comped.

That $100k is a whole different level though, there are areas in some hotels where it feels like you'd need to provide your social security number and income tax info to get in,

that's just how some high rollers places goes.

It's plenty worth it to get a card. 2k (assuming it's being used at a steady pace like $25-50 a hand over the course of a couple hours) should get you free accommodations, slot/table play, and other perks. I've also found that it helps to make friends with the dealers and pit bosses as theyll look out for you when they're marking your play. For instance, I'm fairly sure that a pit boss at Harrah's marked me for my odds on each pass/come bet, which would throw my average play a lot higher.
Personally, I'm not even close to those levels, but I keep a steady pace of money on craps tables/video poker so my hours + average bet adds up to being decent.

As for each different rewards system, I've noticed that the Wynn has become increasingly generous over the past year. Mirage treated me fairly well when I used to play there also. TI seems fairly easy to be comped at now that they are a stand-alone.

To those who doesn't mind pigging out for cheap, the Harrahs family of hotels has a deal on a 24 hrs unlimited buffet for $49.99, $44.99 if you have a total rewards card, which you can get for free (and if you apply for a new they'll even give you a $5.00 slot money).
http://www.harrahs.com/buffets/faq.html

The hotels includes Caesars Lago, Paris' Le Village & PHs Spice Market, those are the 3 best from the list. There are also 4 others from Harrahs (which is decent, not great), Flamingo (also decent), Rio and IP. It's worth it if you can time it well and get 4-5 meals within that 24 hour period since most of these buffets cost about $20-$45 each depending on the time of the day.

Yeah, it was really good. The variety of food was crazy, especially now that they only serve brunch and dinner (I went for brunch). Some food items I tried or remember seeing... red velvet pancakes, various cheeses to eat with crackers (bleu cheese crumbles, gorgonzola cheese) sushi, rotisserie chicken, couple different versions of lamb chops, pizza, salads, spicy orange chicken, pastas, and a bunch of desserts

Probably wont do bottle service, but does anyone have any deals for clubs besides numbers for club promoters? XS, Tao, and Marquee I think are on our list. Suggestions welcomed, thanks!

and i dont know if you guys believe in superstitions, but new casinos always seem to hit a big payoff on slots while theyre still new (aria had two megabucks hits last year i think?) but cosmo hasnt hit yet...i swear that place is due

Seriously, I was waiting all year for venetian to send me some comps and right when I get back from my last trip they send me free this free that.  Now I'm going to fly out next month again because of the offer
laugh.gif
.  I've always wanted to play at the wynn or encore, but their high limit salon is so intimidating.  My buddy brought 100k with him to play and pit boss in high limit asked if he knew where he was
laugh.gif
roll.gif
thats absurd. which rewards program gives you the best offers for your playing level that you've noticed?
The problem wit the wynn is they always have their usual big time whales that play there.  Their whale client list is deep according to a few pit bosses I've spoke to at other casinos.  They said if you're one of their loyal players they take really good care of you at the wynn.  For rewards venetian used to be the best up until this year.  They used to take care of everything..from airport transportation, food, and spa treatments(for the lady).  Harrahs I'm only a diamond holder so aside from the room comps and line passes at buffets idk what else i get
laugh.gif
.  I heard sever star members get free trips.
