GOING TO VEGAS IN A WEEK VOL: Help me with my experience...

Going to Vegas next summer, I've decided on the New York New York penthouse suite. Anyone have any experiences with it?

I went last Friday. It was DJ Karma. He played a mix of mainstream house/dance, top 40, and hip hop. Lots of hip hop. I was satisfied with the music I went to in every club, except for XS on Monday. It was special house DJs and I hated the music. Same with Encore Beach Club on Sunday, special DJ and all house music. As for the clubs and pool parties during the rest of our trip, loved the music. I was very satisfied. 
Us girls had an epic trip. We did 6 nights. Just al lthe antics and moments such as Waka Flocka almost beefing us, and meeting Sean Paul was nice.  lol I am now suffering the consequences and very very sick. But, it was all worth it. We stayed at the suites in Signature at MGM. Loved it. 

By the way, did anyone go to the Snoop Dogg after party at Vanity nightclub on Sunday? If yes, how was it? Got to the hotel, but went straight to the washroom and missed it. lol Ya, bad night.

I'm not sure if I would have fun in Vegas..i'm not a alcohol drinker..but I would gamble..but what else is there to do in Vegas besides drink and gamble? Stay poolside all day?

Knowin me I would just wanna go to Vegas for a day and then drive to California

..because I feel like there's more to do there..

How I did it is that I looked up the DJs playing each night at the clubs and pool parties. So I just followed to go to the clubs depending on the DJs. But no, 1OAK now is not just pure hip hop, they put in mainstream house/dance, but by the end of the night,mostly hip hop. The Bank on Sunday was also DJ Karma, also a mix of genres, but played a lot of hip hop.

I don't know how you men do it going to Vegas. All us girls did was only pay for cab rides and to eat food (free drinks and entrance to pool parties and clubs), and that was almost all 400$ right there for 6 nights. They really rip men off BIG time.

You can do anything and everything. Vegas has everything, and it is for everyone, from single men and ladies, to couples, to families. There are shows to see, attractions, excursions, activities, etc. It is just not all pool parties and clubs.

YoungTriz, ask other guys on here who've spent on bottles. But, to me, it seems like the men there have to spend a lot.

A question, who has been to LIV in Miami? A friend's friend claims that there is no club in Vegas like Liv and Liv tops all the Vegas clubs. True or False?

I'm sure LIV is better than most Vegas clubs, but definitely not XS, based on what I've heard from people who've been to both.

From personal experience, I went to Supper Club in Los Angeles once (which looks like a piece of crap on the outside, of course), and it was a better experience than every club I've been to in Vegas except XS. Vegas is not the end-all, be-all.

Look at New York City, they have some great clubs, but they don't have the space afforded to a Vegas club, so they're a lot smaller. Vegas can't match that exclusivity and intimacy. Does that make it better? Perhaps, but it's in the eye of the beholder.

In the end, it's a debate not worth getting in to. There are amazing clubs in many places. It's all a matter of taste.

All Wynn/Encore clubs/day clubs only play EDM.

And I feel you on being sick after Vegas. I got that after killing my liver (and my immune system) on Day 4 being there last summer. XS stayed open until 5 am the night we were there. I was bed ridden the next day, and ended up with a flu virus that knocked me out of work for a few days after I got home. If I had insurance, I would have hit up a hospital for an IV drip.

not necessarily they just give you a marker according to how much you have in personal accounts and your credit scores...you can apply for a marker too its sometimes very convenient. I only have a 60k marker so its not much. I've seen people with 250k call markers and another few mill in regular marker. If you have a line of credit at a casino the comps come easily. They will take care of you with whatever you need. All my room, food, and transportation is covered and they usually give me promotional chips to start my trip. If you have a cool host he/she will help you find almost anything you need, even a complimentary garden tool

I'm there at least once a month...you can have your rooms comped after your stay if you give them decent action with at least 4 hour sessions. All you have to do is ask to speak with a host. Anyone can have a host or speak to a host you don't have to be a big player. Also if you want to get hooked up with comps, be friendly to the floormen and they will usually hook you up. They can usually bump your average bet in the system so you can earn points or comps faster.

It is true. It all depends on taste. The girls I was with, they went to Miami and went to LIV, and they said they thought Vegas clubs were better overall than all the clubs in Miami. The decor is nicer an they say people are crazier. Miami you can have more time to relax. Vegas you feel like you can't sleep and it is the atmosphere that makes you party until you black out. They love how they give out those glowsticks to party with in the clubs in Vegas. As for LIV, they loved it, but thought the clubs in Vegas were nicer. But their friend who they know had a different opinion. It all depends on your experience too. They also say that South Beach has no pool parties since they just have the beaches, and Vegas has great pool parties. I can also see how in Vegas, if you are not in VIP tables or booths, and get stuck in the crowds on the dancefloor, your experience might not be as fun. We always got pulled into VIP. 
However, no one can deny that Vegas has the top clubs in the U.S. I think LIV tends to be rated in the top 10 at like #6 or #7, and the rest are Vegas clubs in the top 10 on those lists. 

On this trip, we went to Surrender, Haze, Tao, Lavo, 1OAK, Tryst, The Bank, and XS. I didn't get to do Vanity, Hyde, or Marquee like we wanted. I hear those are really fun and nice clubs too (ie. Hyde and Marquee). 

Can you guys tell me what is the big deal about XS and why is it rated the #1 club in the U.S.? We went on Monday. They play EDM and there were the creepiest men. It was very funny, but I was trying to see why people love that club so much and it is rated #1 in the U.S. 

Omg, I am dyyiinnggg! I had this sickness last September in the middle of the Vegas trip. This time, I felt it on the last night, and now it is full force. It is Friday and it is still bad. I barely drank on the trip,except for one night (ONLY two glasses and it killed me - got very sick). It is due to the fact I barely slept in Vegas. On average, I napped about 1-2 hours per night if I was lucky. I guess in the end my body gave up. I also felt like the dry air in the hotels makes you susceptible to catch viruses and germs since it drains out your membranes, and the lack of sleep also depresses your immune system. 6 nights will do that to you for sure! lol 

I want to go back. I am suffering from Vegas withdrawals. I will post videos of the some clubs and parties we went to on here.

It's going to be tough to get into any clubs with 6 dudes. Either split up in groups of twos or your going to be SOL. The bouncers are always willing to take some cash on the side though, always keep that in mind.

Or you can go the bottle service route, which isn't cheap and you get the "thirsty" girls running to your tables.

^ all lies. everytime i've gone to vegas I've gone with 7 dudes. You can pay for bottle service or throw the bartender money but its not necessary.

Easiest way in is to befriend chicks on the line

Worst case scenario split your group in half but regardless you guys will get in.

Can anyone suggest some decent bars with good music (Top40/Hiphop)?

Also, how can you get all the free drinks playing slots? Which hotels have good service where there will be a quick turnaround on getting drinks so that i am not waiting forever?

I also thought about going to see Fab at Haze but i saw horrible reviews for that club on Yelp, its a Friday BTW? any input to all these questions would be appreciated.

nighttruans - I don't know why that club gets horrible reviews at times. Second time I went and I had a blast. Their industry nights on Thursdays are fun and they play a mix of mainstream house/dance, top 40,old school and new hip hop (lots of it!). I am sure when they get special guest appearances, it must get real hype and it is fun.
Like I mentioned, the trick in knowing which clubs to go to to cater to your taste, look at the guest appearances on each night, the DJs, and go on the clubs' Industry Nights.
