Try going for a bank that doesn't require sales.
I know chase and BofA don't do sales anymore.

I work for BofA. We don't do "sales," but we have to have daily referrals. Definitely a good job, but I might be biased because I love my coworkers.

if ur degree is in business, working at a bank is

because you will likely be able to get tuition reimbursement.
word? how does that work, do you have to stay with them after you graduate?

You say this like it's cake. First of all, internships, even free ones aren't that easy to come by especially if you're not at or near the top of your class.

Second, of the countless peers of mine working actual paid internships, none of them are even close to making 20.00/hr.

I don't know where you're at but in California 14-16.00/hr is reality.

Iwork for local government in my area and you definitely have to be acitizen. I can't imagine it would be different for state or fed govpositions.

wells fargo just changed it that you have to be with them for a year after you get get tuition reimbursement. but basically, you can do freshman-jr year and you'll be cool. last year you can also do it, but if you leave within a year, you pay for that last semester, not the whole 4 years (or however many you get)

tried a swing at one of those and nothing happened, alot of students out here don't even think about gov internships, they rather work at a mall or something....

guess I should keep trying, where i'm at now is cool but it's not much at all.......plus I read that gov internships work with your school schedule...they are hard to get into though.

It depends on the agencies. Start of by looking at the student section at usajobs.gov. Currently, there aren't many internships open in the DMV area, but a friend of mine who works at the DOJ put me in contact with the human resources specialist at the Office of Justice Programs, and she said that a lot of internships are going to be put up in the next two months.

Being a bartender is the way to go. I bartended at a Holiday Inn for 3 years and it was way legit. It was the only full service hotel in the city I lived and it also had a huge banquet area so the summers were full of wedding dances to work. I made GREAT money and would do it again in a heartbeat for extra money.

A few of my friends work at different spots here in Vegas (MGM, Planet Hollywood, Bellagio... ect)

Let's just say, on Holiday weekends?

They bring home around $2000-3000 in tips just for ONE weekend!

Valet is a promising job but it also depends on your location. If you're in a high vol. area you're good to go.

i've never done numbers like that, but i hear they clean up out there.

i'm actually trying to move around now and get in a new spot.  i get bored working in the same spot for more than a year.
