Definitely, talented kid, just doesn't want to put the effort.  It seems like he felt things should've been handed to him.

He got outplayed by another freshman (Woods), was having trouble in the classroom, and was late to meetings on more than one occasion.  Rumor was that, CLK wanted to redshirt Ambles since he didn't make the WR rotation, but he wasn't having it.  He is talented, but raw.  WR is a position we can take a hit, since it is a deep position however it makes it more important for CLK to get George Farmer.

In an interview with The Associated Press, the president at the university with the largest athletic program in the country said that TCU and Boise State do not face a difficult enough schedule to play in the national championship game.

Gee, long an admirer of the BCS and the current bowl system, said he was against a playoff in the Football Bowl Subdivision because it was "a slippery slope to professionalism."

A former president at West Virginia, Colorado, Brown and Vanderbilt universities, Gee said he favored the "mixed-up mystery" of the current system.

8 BCS bids in 11 years, 3 National title trips (1 of which was undeserved), and 1 stolen MNC.  If I was him I'd love the system too

I hate Boise State with the fury of ten thousand suns, but they're legit this year. So is TCU - dudes are writing them off because they "struggled" against SDSU.

I'd love if both of these teams got into BCS games and wrecked folks (minus Oregon, of course).

Auburn University quarterback Cam Newton isn’t the only Heisman Trophy contender who has caught the attention of NCAA investigators this season.

WW has learned star University of Oregon running back LaMichael James was also under scrutiny this month by university officials and the NCAA. The reason: James was spotted driving a new vehicle—a 2003 Range Rover.

Questions about how James acquired his white luxury ride prompted Angie Cretors, NCAA assistant director for agent, gambling and amateurism activities, to fly to Portland to investigate. She met early this month with Pernell Brown, a local gang-outreach worker who describes himself as James’ “uncle.

Elite Miami Northwestern senior quarterback/UM oral commitment Teddy Bridgewater said Stephen Morris' emergence will not deter him from joining the Hurricanes.
``Right now, I'm planning to come'' to UM, Bridgewater said. ``It's pretty definite.'' UF and LSU are pursuing him; Miami's staff is cautiously optimistic.
If Morris plays the next three seasons (he will compete with Jacory Harris in 2011), Bridgewater -- if he redshirts next season -- would have two seasons of eligibility after Morris graduates. Or UM could use Bridgewater in 2011 as an off-the-bench weapon, like UF's Trey Burton.
``I'm not afraid to compete,'' Bridgewater said about Morris. ``That's what the world is about -- competition.''
Bridgewater also would be a great prospect at receiver but said he wants to play quarterback. Rated by Rivals.com as the nation's No. 2 dual-purpose quarterback, Bridgewater has superstar potential, ESPN's Jamie Newberg has said.
``I'm excited for Stephen [but] we will recruit competition,'' UM coach Randy Shannon said.
• One key member of UM's Board of Trustees said Tuesday that president Donna Shalala still has confidence in Shannon and will not yet allow herself to be influenced by those calling for his ouster. (Some trustees would like a coaching change.) But the trustee said Shalala could be swayed next year if big donors don't donate in the 2011 fundraising drive and cite Shannon as the reason.
• An AFC scout said it speaks poorly of UM's coaches that several players (Sam Shields, Bruce Johnson, etc.) play better in the NFL than at UM. It was disturbing to hear that Packers assistant Joe Whitt said Shields, who played cornerback one year at UM, had ``no clue'' how to watch film, learn defenses or prepare for games when he got to the NFL.
Even WQAM's Michael Irvin, Shannon's former roommate, has been a bit critical, calling out UM coaches for not blitzing when Virginia Tech's backup quarterback came into the game on a third-and-long Saturday: ``I threw everything I had in my hand at the TV.''
• A second scout said UM officials ``believe [junior] Brandon Harris is going to turn pro, and some people there think he's their best player. He and Allen Bailey are first-round talents.'' Harris told Irvin he's undecided. If he leaves, UM would lose its top three corners, leaving Brandon McGee, Devont'a Davis, Kacy Rodgers, Keion Payne and former running back Lee Chambers among 2011 options.
• Shannon has given no thought to removing talented playmaker Travis Benjamin from the lineup temporarily because of several drops and mistakes. ``You can't do that. You don't get down on a young man,'' Shannon said, noting he wisely did not give up on Leonard Hankerson a few years ago.

I do however like that he sticks with Benji, even if he is dropping everything he touches.  I agree, you have to keep working the kid, problem is, I'm not sure they are the coaches that can correct the mistake or teach him how to do it right.  Hankerson probably learned from an outside source, or former player, hope Benji gets the same help this offseason.
