what is USC supposed to do? He's a student so they can't ban him from campus. Should he be de-certified?
I think it's on him to not place student athletes in compromising situations and on the athletes to be more careful with who they deal with.
It's not really clear to me from what I read if Baxter knew the kid is an agent but I've gotta assume he did. He probably just didn't figure it'd be a big deal because, well he's also a student. He belongs on the campus and USC can't really tell him to keep away or not to interact with his friends just because they happen to be athletes. Or can they?
Do you know if the NCAA/NFLPA have specific rules spelling out what to do in an instance like this, where the "agent" is also a student of the school?
I imagine if he was soliciting players with the intention of getting them to sign with him in the future it'd be some sort of ethics violation and he'd risk being decertified.
