Goodbye, 2010 COLLEGE FOOTBALL SEASON - twas a great year,

According to Miami's Rivals site Shannon is gone. Shalala met with him after the game and said he and his staff will be fired tomorrow. Take it for what it's worth.

I've been hearing the Gruden rumor for months here on campus, pictures like these have been showing up on Facebook and different message boards.

Son we're #1 in the country in pass defense and lead the country in INT's.... what more would you like our DB's to do?





When Whipple committed to the run while JAcory was out we were putting up 500 yards a game on offense. When the OL shows up to play it dominates.



The problem is the inconsistency that comes with having bad coaching. You bring in a good coaching staff that can get a team to play consistent and it's a completely different story.



The talent is there. Andybody who says differently doesn't know what they're talking about.



This isn't like '06 when people were delusional in thinking we had talent because of some high ranked recruiting classes but no real players.

You pretty much agreed with most of what i said. The lack of consistency and adjustments week to week falls at the feet of the coaching staff. Not to mention the penalties and turnovers. Those have been the real problems. There is talent out there.

As for the Defense, the best pass defense statistic is so ridiculous. Teams are not passing the ball against us, because they don't need to. WE CANT STOP THE RUN. Check the FSU, VTech, and UVA games. It's certainly not the reason why this team sucks, but it has become an overvalued stat at this point. Ryan Hill and DVD suck....

We're ranked 85th against the run. Which is a bit misleading...

Take the UVA and FSU game out because we obviously didn't even show up to play those games. UVA went 1-7 in the ACC and their only win was over us...that was clearly a fluke game.

FSU is not 28 points better than us at home in front of a sold out crowd. Another fluke game where we never even showed up to play. We didn't even try. Just look at the stats. FSU's leading rusher had 160 yds on 14 carries. 90 of those on one run.

Look at VT and Ohio state. The two best teams we played with the best RB's we went against. take away Ryan Williams 84 yard run and Evans, WIlson, and williams didn't even average 4yds per carry.

Look at the Ohio State game. Yeah Pryor killed us but Herron didn't even average 5yds a carry.

When we play well we can shut down the other team's run game. Again this all comes back to inconsistency. We'll be shutting down the run all game and then the 4th quarter comes around and we'll give up an 80 yard run. We never play a complete game for whatever reason.

And the pass defense statistic isn't ridiculous. You don't get the #1 pass defense by accident. There's other teams who can't stop the run either yet they get thrown all over. But somehow we don't...


We only allowed one QB to go over 200 yards passing this year and that was Pryor.
 
you can run down scenarios like that with every team in the country.
