I did the Riordan MBA Fellowship. It is extremely similar to MLT , in fact its actually older than MLT. It isn't just for LA people , I live in Michigan and I flew back and forth for the 9-10 months the program took to complete. Just as MLT you do a bunch of activities that are geared towards helping you build a stronger b school application. The two are great programs for resume stamps, but majority of the people who apply to either program, usually already have the stats ( aside from GMAT) to get into a top 20 program.Just came across something called the Riordan MBA fellowship.
It's basically a year long process and helps you apply for UCLA...
All my LA cats should look into it.
I'd do it but i live in Texas.

Southwest is cheap lol. Plus when you are single with no kids, decent government salary, and you live in the midwest you have alot of disposable income.damn.
You had money to fly back and forth?
fa sho. What school did you end up going to?Southwest is cheap lol. Plus when you are single with no kids, decent government salary, and you live in the midwest you have alot of disposable income.
I'm at Michigan working on my Master of Urban Planning degree. Considering doing a dual MBA though. Not sure yet. The way Michigan is set up , grad students can take courses in any other department. I'm really into social entrepreneurship and real estate development so it would make sense, but I have a meeting with Ross this week so we will see. I can't speak for other schools but once you are in a grad program at Michigan it's fairly easy to add a dual degree, just the question of do I want to spend another year in school.fa sho. What school did you end up going to?

Does having 1 "W" on your transcript look bad when submitting it for grad school? I'm a junior in college right now but taking senior level courses and I feel so burnt out/unmotivated. Really would like to drop the class and just take it next Spring with my PPA class.
yup
I would say that you should try to avoid it, or have a good reason to explain it on your applications. Pretty much depends on what you wanna do and how competitive the programs are.

Well I'm in a accounting program for school (PPA: Professional Program for Accounting) and there are specific classes that my director wants us to take each semester so that everyone in the program takes it together. The class that I'm trying to drop is a class that my director wants us to take next spring while we do our internship instead of earlier. So, I guess that could be my reasoning? The program also lets me graduate with a masters in a total of 5 years (4 years under grad, 1 year grad) instead of the normal 6. And if it matters, my GPA right now is a 3.5.

I dunno. I would still try not to drop it. But if you're feeling burned out, and its going to affect your grade in the class, drop it now, and kill it next year.

I'll stick to it and see how well/bad I do on my 1st exam and then think about it...thanks for the help.

depends on what type of program you want ...Question. I am considering going back to school to get my MBA (I have a Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering) and I would like to start in Fall of 2016. If I take my GMAT's this May, I should have enough time to complete applications by this Fall right?
