I personally dont like this bar. Probably, one of the most problematic sound bars to date for me personally(i wish it was louder). It doeshave its advantages though. And it sounds like some people here have had a good expierence with it.
It has on many occasions gone down to $199.99 at BestBuy, during the holidays that things has been as low as $99.99. Most stores have plenty instock...there is a reason behind that.

i've had it for about a year and a half and it still sounds great
i'm live in a condo complex so it is the best i could get without risking a noise complaint

My LG sometimes has a blur when watching a blu-ray movie with 120hz set on low. Usually dark objects against a bright background.

Is this normal or is my TV just not up to par?

It's actually quite good granted the surround effect is not as strong as I would like it to be. The loudness thing is more source but I do agree with you.Perfect for the PS3 if you want HD audio because the PS3 internally decodes Dolby-TrueHD and DTS HD-MA and sends it out as multi-channel PCM, which this thingcan decode. It can do the basic Dolby Digital and DTS as well as Dolby Pro Logic II if you only have an analog source. Powered sub plus ability to dock iPods(have to buy the dock separately though), I definitely recommend this for a bedroom or small set up. I wish I had a true 5.1/7.1 system but for the price andthe size of my room this thing is perfect. And where did you find it for $99.99, I might pick some up for my parents I got my set when it was fairly new abouta year ago for 2 bills and everytime I go to bestbuy its $299 still. If you want a beefier soundbar though go with HT-CT500 or the Yamahas, but for the pricethis set is hard to beat IMO

Skype is coming to TVs this year

From Gizmodo

Now for those HDTVs. LG and Panasonic are the hardware partners here, and they've integrated both a webcam and Skype software into their HDTVs. They'll have just about every Skype feature the computer software has-voicemail, landline and mobile calls, free Skype-to-Skype, all that-as well as a 720p webcam and microphones specifically designed to pick up sound at couch distance. Want to say hello to your kid, niece, nephew, grandkid, whatever, but he or she won't sit still in front of a computer? Let 'em run around in front of the TV! We'll get more info from Skype on specific pricing and availability for these TVs this week

A bit more here

BTW, HUGE NEWS OUT OF PANASONIC THIS COMING YEAR... If you were disappointed Pioneer went away, Panasonic has got you.

I'm not interested in 3D, I'm interested in black

Looks like all the big brands are focusing on LED an 3D in 2010.
Samsungs 9000 series look ill but im sure price will be out of my range.
Looking to cop a 50-55 inch LCD or Plasma around June/July. Hope prices for some of the models out now drop by then.

Plasma will be your best bet. Wait for the 2010 models of Panasonic to come out this year before you buy. More bang for your buck.

I got a new TV and pj over the holidays. Got a 42" Panny plasma in a pretty sweet deal: bought tv/xbox/game bundle at Best Buy, used BBgift cards bought at Kroger (they ran a $10 off every $100 deal), then sold the xbox and avatar game. Ended up with the tv for right around $300

I also got my Epson HC720 pj, really enjoying it too. I would've liked tohave gotten a 1080p projector, but nothing came close to the Epson for features and image quality for the money. I'm close to finishing our HT room,I'll try to post some pics when I get a chance.

so i recently moved my tv in my living room for a new entertainment setup and before i moved it i was receiving all over the air hd channels such as cbs, fox, nbc, abc, discovery and tbs but now that i moved my tv all of the channels are scrambled and not coming in clear anymore. I do not know if it is because i havea longer coaxial cable running around the room or what. can anyone help me?

There is no difference. monoprice.com or bluejeanscable.com are your best bets. They supply the same HDMI cords for a fraction of the cost of WorstBuy orWallyWorld. Whether or not you need multiple cables depends on what kind of A/V gear you have. Be more specific.
