# new cases declined yesterday, it appears. i'd be a little cautious over-interpreting things for now. it's possible fewer tests were run or fewer people came in on a sunday, but this is good news.
Of course, the naysayers are now coming out and saying we overreacted. Those people can go to hell. This was always a catch-22. If we overreact and the numbers fall short of what we predicted because we acted and kept people home, then the naysayers will say they were right, that COVID-19 was never a real threat to begin with.
There's still a long way to go. 25k new cases today still means a few hundred people who will die a couple weeks from now and many more who will be hospitalized for a while.

It’s very weird seeing the entrance and streets surrounding the hospital so quiet. The UES is quiet as hell. Beautiful weather though.

There's video evidence of him saying COVID19 will never come to the states. Then he goes off to say, we have the virus under control, then he goes on to say we have all the equipments and supplies needed to fight this off, then he goes on to say anyone who wants a test will be able to get it. Now, he's saying we are ahead of the curve and winning this battle.
Time after time, he has shot himself in the foot. This will all be held against, which will result in a far greater voter turnout. I really do not believe he will be re-elected this time around. There's just too much going against him. It would be short-sided not to mention, Biden attracts some of the voters who were on the fence with Trump from 2016.

Can someone school me on masks real quick? I’m not even going to try to get the N95 masks. Are the blue 3-ply medical masks better to use than buying/making a cotton mask?

i would try and get a mask where you have to tie it in the back. those are surgical masks. it will say on the box...those are more effective
the procedural masks have the elastic that goes around your ear.
being able to tie it will give you a better seal
also, anyone who can get their hands on an N-95 mask should consider your facial structure as well.
i don't have a big bridge on my nose so i was fitted for a duck bill mask as opposed to the round ones. those work better for bigger nosed people

not sure fam... to be completely honest i've never seen one of the cotton masks with a filter at my hospital
we are all wearing surgical or n-95 masks. i've actually been doing both. n-95 with a surgical mask on top with goggles and a surgical hat.
