How soon do you hear back for a second interview?

^ just want some insights because I dont believe I've ever had a second interview before

Depends on the position, how many people they are interviewing, and what kind of impression you made. It could be the next day, it could be 2 weeks later.

Interviews??? They take 1 look at my resume and hire me...

Srs.

But 1-2 days max.

I just landed a new job today. Easy money. Definitely bounced back from losing my last job. Thank God. Keep pushing my partner, something will work out, trust me I came from the dungeons.

If you don't hear anything with a week of the interview, don't expect to hear back at all.

My current job took me a week to hear back for the 2nd interview. Then over a month to hear back for an offer. It really depends on so many different things.

There's no concrete answer. I've interviewed at God knows how many companies now, most are national or global players.

Sometimes I get job offers a couple days later. Sometimes I don't hear back until weeks later for a second interview.

My second job out of college took me 6-7 months to complete. I got my first interview in late spring and didn't start my first day until December. This was because I had to interview with everyone, the local managers and directors and the C's from the east coast as well.

Best bet is to follow up in a week. Don't expect anything and keep applying.

I think it depends on what kind of job you're interviewing for. Some places I interviewed at told me from the jump they do a phone screening/interview and then will let me know the next day if they want to go forward with the next step.

I've personally experienced anywhere from one day to 3 weeks. Remember people are usually pretty busy at the company you are applying at, so it could take a while for hr to gather feedback from the folks you interviewed with. Sometimes it just takes time, and isn't as high of a priority for the company as it is for you.

After a week feel free to send that email man, let them know you're still interested.

People don't follow up quick enough for jobs a lot of time, once you get out of that interview you should be trying to get those thank you emails out within 1-2 hours then follow up with hr if you don't hear that.

Agreed, I follow up a week after the interview and then another week later if I don't hear anything.

Just remember to keep applying/interviewing. You can interview at 20 different places, but you just need that one YES.

It's been 5 months, and I'm still waiting to hear about scheduling my second interview.

i dont think i got it

interview went on for 50 minutes yesterday and the director said she will def get back to me... she said i will have to come in for a second interview to meet the AD.

i saw that the job listing was taken down today and it's friday, so that means they already picked their potential employees and I'm most likely not one of em...bummer...really wanted it.

thanks all

Not necessary. Job posting times don't always have correlation. They may have taken it down to stop candidates from applying since they just want to focus on the talent they have on the table.

And sometimes if the company is big, this process takes a while, I.E. I want to take down job posting on x date, I fill out a form, which will be turned into HR who will give to their talent acquisition specialist sooner or later.

But yes, always applying. Never stop. You can never have enough interviews or job offers.

I have a job already, but this role would push me towards 6 figures and it's something that I really want to do

thanks for your perspective

I start a new job this coming Monday and the interview process started in May. 3 months of interviewing was tiresome, especially when my new company came after me.

Just be patient, you want to look interested but not desperate.
