Hurricane Laura Thread

Pretty much out of the woods here. I think the worst it did in Texas was little more than what a severe thunderstorm can do.

Been through a lot of storms. Rita, Ike, Harvey, Imelda. We really dodged a bullet on this one. Didn't even lose electricity, which is almost a sure thing for these events. It was crazy to follow this storm and see just how close it came to us as it passed by.

Also crazy how some people in Cameron Parish and Lake Charles didn't evacuate. Hope any of y`all with folks there can get in touch and confirm they're safe.

Them tropical storm winds hitting Houston didn't even "ticket" my house last nite, and like Air Champa said...........no power outage. Houston dodged Hurricane Laura as easily as Floyd Mayweather dodges them left & right hooks

I’d rather live in Houston than California any day of the week.

As a person who has lived in both, I can verify that this is incorrect.
