************Hurricane Sandy Thread************ vol. BE SAFE!!!

I wonder how people will react when something like this eventually happens on the west coast..... Specifically So Cal seeing as how we barely get a weeks worth of rain throughout the year.

Who remembers that threa about 2 years ago when it snowed like 1 inch in LA?...I think it was LA....dudes were losing their minds out there....it was quiet hilarious.

Local news in LA is reporting that the the worse of the storm will hit NY on Wednesday.

I haven't heard TWC report this though.

If true I doubt Subway will be running this weekend as some were hoping for... Best bet would be next Wed. ( if city workers are anything like they are in cali 2013 is your best bet. Haha)

No way the storm will still have the strength it has now all the way till Wednesday...BS.

^ I hope you're right I have a midterm and presentation on Wednesday. I sure could use an extension on those and get it postponed till next class. Come on Sandy you can do it!

Not having power sucks. At least my crib isn't flooded. I'm glad I'm able to finally post something, my service was shot and my social media apps weren't working at all.

I just got back from taking a lil drive around town and EVERYTHING'S closed. I couldnt get cigs or ice cream :( . Stay safe y'all

I'm just reporting what my local news is saying.

Anyone with power near or in NY have any word on what the news is reporting over in those areas?

^ We're are on a day to day schedule, we will definitely know whether things will be closed for Wednesday but Tuesday evening for sure.

The fact that this is NYC and how Bloomberg and his officials run things, dudes will get things up and running with the quickness. One day off is too much for this city, two days is extraordinary. This being a hurricane makes the situation different, but I don't know yet. Recovering from a hurricane isn't 1-2-3, these things can take weeks sometimes. Lets hope though... :smokin

"PEOPLE IN LONG BEACH & MILL NECK ESTATES IN NASSAU CAOUNTY, NY TOLD NOT TO DRINK OR USE TAP WATER. AUTHORITES SAY WATER IS NOT SAFE."
- The Weather Channel

They also reported that boiling the water will not make it safe either... IDK how many of you this will affect but throwing it out there in case some didn't catch it.
